About this archive

club-s12.org was the home of the Nissan S12 community for over two decades. When spam bots overran it and it could not be restored, its members' knowledge was nearly lost. This archive recovers what the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine saved of it.

What's here

5,325 threads and 78,807 posts, from the forum's six software eras. Thread and message numbers carried through every migration, so copies of the same thread saved in different years were stitched back together.

What's missing

• About 5% of threads have gaps, where the Wayback Machine never saved a page. In its last years the forum's bot protection showed the archiver a "please wait" screen instead of the page; a few hundred pages exist only as that screen.
• Most photos were hosted on Photobucket, ImageShack and similar sites that no longer serve them. Images the forum hosted itself were recovered where the Wayback Machine had them.
• The vBulletin era (2004–2005) was saved without post dates; those threads show an estimated month.
• Signatures, profiles and private messages were never archived. Bot spam has been removed.

Privacy and removal requests

Email addresses and phone numbers that appeared inside posts are masked. If you were a member and want your posts anonymised or removed, send a removal request. Authors don't need to give a reason, and the change stays in effect on every update of the archive.

The archive is free to read and always will be. Donations are thanks to the volunteer who recovered it and keeps it running; they don't buy access to anything, and the posts remain their authors'.
