Bart,
I'm in the process of putting an SR20det into this car, (s12), I have 4 x 550cc injectors, (have to get a custom fuel rail as these are top feed and the sr takes side feed), from the series 5 turbo RX7 to go into it together with a 300zx Z32TT AFM (capable of reading up to 500hp of flow),
I have a daugtherboard in the ECU with 4 switchable fuel maps, including one for the 550cc inj., Z32TT AFM combination.
I have a front mount intercooler and have a 3" exhaust to go into the car from the turbo all the way back.
This combination should comfortablly make 300hp at the flywheel on a conservative 14psi. I know of another guy with an aftermarket ECU and otherwise the same setup who is making near 400hp at the fly, not sure what turbo or boost he's running though.
Sr20det and CA18det transplants, (in varios vehicles), are relatively common here.
kickass man sounds like you will have on hell of a 200

If people are doing the swap and want they can certainly email me and I can answer any questions they might have.
This motor fits straight on the s12 c/member and you use the s12 g/box mount and just slot the mount to body holes 6mm foward and it bolts up,
you need to change the s12 clutch master cylinder, as its to long and hits the intake manifold, (I am using the s13 one). You have to get a shorter tailshaft, I went and found one at a wreckers, (junkyard).
Then of course the main thing wiring, I have a copy of the ca18det s13 w/shop manual I downloaded of the internet, the early red top sr motors used the same wiring, (except for 1 or 2 wires). I also have a copy of the s12 Nissan factory manual, I just sat down and worked it out, and also studied a lot of the sr swap sites re wiring.
I have even able to hook up the s12 aircon to the sr ECU so that the computer conmtrols acceleration cut of the a/c.
I do need to know what voltage the s12 tacho reads its signal at, if anyone can help me with that?
e.g. the s13 ECU puts out a tacho signal of .9 to 1.7volts, so you need to use a pull up resistor, (little 5cent thingy from any electronis shop to pull this signal up to 12volts for a lot of cars tacho's, so they can run off this signal.) But I'm not sure what voltage signal the s12 tacho takes.
If someone could put a multimeter onto the l/green wire that provides the input signal to their tacho that would be a big help to me, and for anyone else doing this swap later on.
Gerry
Re s12 ecu's , I have a couple here pulled out of cars and to be honest they are dinosaurs compared to the sr20 ecu, (in ca20E's at least), they are fuel only and not from an era where ecu mods are done.
The sr ecu controls injection and ignition and has much more modern electronics.
In the sr20 ecu you put in a daugterboard, (you can get them from radioshack or electronics stores), and you desolder the original chip and solder in this daughter board with two preprogramed chips, with 2 fuel/ignition maps on each chip, and the daughterboard has 2 small switches so you can switch between these maps.
Gerry
I figured this about the S12 ECU, which is why I said extra injection, OR piggyback comuters used w/ a datalogger. Although if you DO go either of the two routes, it will be easy since the S12 ECU is so simple. So I guess it's a trade-off.
