You mean these?

Yeah those are S12a ('84-'86) UK-spec taillights, which now explains to me why Dave's toon drawing has lights like that... I personally like those lights better I think than ours, and would be intersted in some of someone had them. Of course I'd want the p[lastic matching piece that goes between them (above the lic. plate recess).

Hello all...new user and S12 owner.

What about the round tail-lights? I keep seeing pictures of a blue s12 with round tail-lights, and wonder if these are home-made, or some kind of Euro or Strosek part...

Anyone?

Thanks,

SCott

Ahhh, thanks...and thanks for the reply. Yeah, those do look VERY good. I figured them for some obscure NISMO offering, or maybe Strosek in the infant years. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks tho... This is a great forum.

Gage mine is the same way. I saw another 87.....the exact twin to mine....even missing that same piece. the whole plastic piece holding the plate has to be replaced as the clear cover piece is not replacable by itself. Also....I don't belive that we can put the euro spec tail lights on because our plates are taller and ,I'm not sure but, I don't tink they will fit in the stock cut out. of course modification is allways possible, but you run the risk of distroying what you wanted in the first place.

That sounds like a sweet time. I wish I lived in Texas.......

You have a RWD-converted WRX? I never heard of such a thing. What was the advantage in dropping the AWD?

Ahhhh, the HEAT in Texas makes it suck tho. icon_smile.gif

Anyway, I converted my WRX to RWD because I am used to RWD cars, their handling characteristics, and the FUN of RWD. As it comes, the US Spec WRX plows like a Civic when you try and rotate it with the throttle. The WRX has a RWD configured transmission anyway, with the front drive being a 2nd thought. I modified the center diff to not send any of the power to the front diff...Bam! RWD. Plus there is less frictional drivetrain loss, so it feels a little quicker as well. Plus it freaks out most people to see a little 4-dr car drifting around a bend with the rear-end on fire! icon_biggrin.gif

I will have videos after this Friday's meet.

Post an address soon.

yes that`s an SE NISSAN rear spoiler. and yes you cant see shit out of the rear window if ya got one LOL

if you fit the MK1UK spec (84/86) rear lights (as in the pic) you will need to add a reverse light and a fog light, the UK MK1`s had the reverse and fog lights in the bumper the MK`s 2 UK spec had them incorporated in to the lights, don't know if this is the same in other countries?
the MK1`s are becoming quite rare in the UK now as the salt has got most of them icon_sad.gif
ARRO is i come across some i will let you know. I would think in a scrap yard hear they would cost around £30 ish

They were standard on the UK spec before mid 1987. Just like mine icon_lol.gif but I changed the bumpers and bonnet for the later ones. 2thumbs.gif
