alright i have made osme conncetions with some people and can get my hands on some motors..
these prices arent set in stone untill monday or tuesday when i get actual #'s

all motors come complete with tranny, ecu, harness, turbo, maf, and misc stuff like dist,
also all motors are pressure tested and roughly about 40-50k in miles

so far
ca18et -- $400-500 im not !00% sure on whats all included with this one

ca18det -- $775 everything you need for a swap

fj20et-- $900-1000 the only prob is that they avaialbe every once in a while...

if you are truely interested and willing to diss out the cash in the next few months or spring let me know the more motors i can get at once the cheaper the costs will be

I can give you the money for an FJ anytime. Jason has first dibbs on an FJ though, so my next option is the CA18DET if the FJ is not available.
Either way I can get you the money.

me, jason, and keith have dibbs already i should be able to get at leat 2-3 more so i will reserve the next one for you.... ohh and i will probably not be getting one until dec-jan... and what i was thinking of doing id getting mine and installing it and then flying down to keith in cali and meat up with jason and sterline and anyone else that wants to come by keiths and we would indtall it that way we have soemone that already knows the swap and 2-4 more guys to leanr and before you know it we will all have fj's

this is awesome Bart!, for $700 i'd definitly get a CA18DET! i dont have the money right now, but i could come up with it if i find a good car to put it in, b/c the XE is about to fall apart and would even be worth fixing up,.. but if i find a nice S13 body i'd drop it in that

Is the Dec-jan time frame for CA's as well as FJ's? I've got the cash right now and am kind of in a rush because of a trip planned for late november. Will there be any additional shipping cost?

cadet swappers - Any of you in the Portland, OR/ SW WA area? I'm asking because I would really like to do the swap indoors. Currently the plan is to use a car tent in the back of a buddy's yard but I know it's gonna get pretty moist out. I can offer moderate tech. help, air tools + compressor, and 8 bottles of Old Rasputin icon_biggrin.gif

what are we lookin at as far as mileage on these?

I've gotta buy the car tent so I'll have a dry place to store/work on the motor, but I should have that by the middle of this week. After that as soon as you can get a handle on it. Can you PM me with your phone #?

if you want a lot of buyers i can get you some and how long would this go for? i can get some money in a few months.

mileage is about 40-50k and i can do this for a while.. its just if i do a few engines at a time it will be cheaper for everyone...

by 2nd gen he is referring to the intercooled CA18DET from the S13 rather than the first gen CA18DET non intercooled from late model japanese S12s. Basically it puts out more power and is the better of the two. Willing to bet that it is a 2nd gen as most CA18DETs are since the early 1st gens were pretty rare.

I would prolly be able to drop jeff's motor off for a fee of some kind. however I am a little bit iffy about trying to go over snowy passes with a unloaded 2wd toyota pickup. What pass is between you and ontario jeff?

im giving my guy until friday to get me the info i asked if he doesnt im going with another guy that can get me the motors for the same price and still thru the same engine dealer... just a different contact and hopefully it wont take so damn long... i have to say i am very sorry for making you guys wait so long..

So what's the deal? Have the orders been placed? Or are you awaiting confirmation before placing the order? Any idea on time frame? My brother really wants one of the CA18DET engine sets, and hell, I wouldn't mind having one myself... just curious on the timeframe!

Bart, I'm not trying to be impatient or anything but my chances of keeping my s12 are revolving around 2 things, 1. If I can get this motor, and

2. Is anyone going to be doing a swap from a a/t to a m/t when they change motors, if not I am going to have to prep my other car with none of the power options no digi dash no talking lady or any of that, and I'm not sure I want to do that.

sorry to take so long to get back to you but i have been really busy with work and life and havent been on here for almost a month...

well im really sorry to say my source flaked out on me so these are no longer avaiable... but i have a buddy who can get rebuilt ca18det's for about the same price, how you ask? well he has done so much bizz with this company he gets killer deals... shit he can get a 4g63 turbo for 550 rebuilt fully, all engines come with 1 year warranty.... i will have prices tommorow... im locking this post since it no longer has value and will start a new one once i get all the new info
