lol, thats such garbage. also i love how "Now for an additional $5 get your TorqueWind turbo in ANY COLOR" is a big part of the selling features. if it worked well, color wouldnt matter.

Hey its a good deal

For the seller. Buy a 12V duct fan at oem prices for $15-$20 add a little bit of wiring and a switch then sell it for $120. Its interesting to note that there is no mention of the static pressures. I would expect that on some vehicles that the engine air will rotate the fan and the install will actually function as a restriction in air flow.

In all fairness, they might have done some testing on some vehicles and noted an improvement, however the writing is done in such a manner to almost indicate that the performance improvements are not necessarily from their unit. Note that the test data states electric air, not their products name. A marketing 101 mistake or worse....

One other possibility is that they are trying to see the interest level, and really don't plan on selling the unit as described. Eg use ebay for purposes of market research without a product. If it looks promising, then spend some time on engineering and come out with a real tested and verified product down the road.

I've done that in the past, I just make sure the prices are far enough out of line so that if someone bids, I can engineer whatever it was quickly in order to ship it out. If the hit counters go up really high, its then worth spending some time on. If however the hit counters stay low, the project is killed. No matter what, ebay makes money, and I would make a lot of money if I actually sold the gizmo.

Now when we go and check it out and make comments here, the counters go up, and their market research may prove faulty.

Ron

Good luck bart, I heard mimms wanted some real power so he installed two of those torquewinds on his car, but he installed one of them backwards and they're so powerful they cancel each other out and the car won't run at all, right Mimms? icon_lol.gif

well if you want the whole story, I bought three, I had a brilliant idea to build a Triple-Sequential-TorqueWind setup, well long story short, I started the car and it exploded... My thoughts are to much boost, still want the car bart? icon_lol.gif

My next plan is a Leaf Blower-Blower, i picked one up at the CT madness sale, blows at 276km/h, how much boost is that? ahaha

Triple torquewinds? Wow that would be so much boost I think you may have just discovered how to travel faster than the speed of light!

i've been thinking over the idea of a lighning rod strapped to the car for a while now. Sure she only travels in short fast bursts, but the money i'll save on gas!
