WWJD - What would Jesus drive?

Now before anyone get's their undergarments in a pretzel, this is in good fun. I thought it was funny, and decided to post it here.

One theory is that Jesus would tool around in an old Plymouth because "the Bible says God drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden in a Fury."

But in Psalm 83, the Almighty clearly owns a Pontiac and a Geo. The passage urges the Lord to "pursue your enemies with your Tempest and terrify them with your Storm."

Perhaps God favors Dodge pickup trucks, because Moses' followers are warned not to go up a mountain "until the Ram's horn sounds a long blast."

Some scholars insist that Jesus drove a Honda but didn't like to talk about it. As proof, they cite a verse in St. John's gospel where Christ tells the crowd, "For I did not speak of my own Accord..."

Meanwhile, Moses rode an old British motorcycle, as evidenced by a Bible passage declaring that "the roar of Moses' Triumph is heard in the hills."

Joshua drove a Triumph sports car with a hole in its muffler: "Joshua's Triumph was heard throughout the land."

And, following the Master's lead, the Apostles car pooled in a Honda...."The Apostles were in one accord."

Hah..that reminds me of a joke I heard once about the fleet of Hondas used for carting Secret Service agents around at the Presidential retreat in Maryland...known as the Camp David Accords.

Is it me or does look like it should be an album cover from the '80s, like Huey Lewis or David Bowie or something.

Haha...that was hilarious. Not being a religious person I would have never seen those things. icon_lol.gif

That chick in Matt's avatar is absolutely smokin!!! I am glad someone finally asked..I was about to.

And Chris, I agree, it does look like something off of an 80's album cover. That's actually what I thought when I first saw it!

Heh ... yeah. It's actually promo stuff for my band, there's more, I just didn't put them online.

And Mimms, you're damn right I do – every night she comes home looking like that! But even hotness whining about car parts in the bathtub is still annoying icon_mad.gif

But since you all seem keen icon_wink.gif

This is the only other one I have with a girl in the picture, I'll spare you the rest :p

Hey Matt,

I got a kinda off topic question for you..... How do the winters/snow affect your mopars? Or do they?

See im originally from Canada and plan to move back but my cars have kept me here in Cali. My parents say that the winters will eat my car alive. I have a couple of oldies that i dont want to get rid of. So i was just wondering.

Thanks!

Well Datsunbabe, my Charger doesn't come out to play in the winter time. Except for the odd time when I really want to scare myself.

Salt is the big enemy, much worse here in Toronto than it ever was back home near Ottawa. I swear, the second it is even suggested it might snow, they dump an inch of the stuff on the road.

Best thing you can do is wash your car often around here. Once a week I'll go to the 1$ car wash and just power wash the bottom of the car to get all the crusty salt off.

As for oldies, if the body work is done right, and the rot isn't too bad to begin with, I've never had a problem keeping them from rusting out.

This was the only rot I found when doing my Charger in the first place

For me it's more of a safety thing, disc/drum big block V8 with 4.11 gears and sticky tires is bad enough on dry pavement, let alone rain or snow.

That copper Fury in the pic above is a year round car, and it didn't suffer for the 2 winters it saw.

Long story short, keep em clean and oiled and you shouldn't have any problems.

I dunno, it's a bit harder to keep the rust of an old Datsun Z than an old Mopar....like many earlier Japanese cars, they are prone to rust to begin with, and once it starts you've got holes in no time, largely due to the steel used in their construction being largely recycled and of course much thinner than that used in your Mopars and other good 'ol '70s Yank Tanks.

lots of places have a heavy oil spray that you can apply to the car in the winter. it works pretty well.
