go for the White SE and jew him down to $600. Mention that you have to get a truck/trailer, no smog, no reg, bad battery, exhaust, ect...
I duno how recent this is but I bought the White SE about 3 weeks ago... but I do wonder if i could get that other SE

lol @ Jew him down.
I guess i will talk the 600 down then.
GL bro, we can never have enough SE owners out here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
there was an 87 Notch that i coulda had for $150 but like a moron I didnt buy it... oh well...
How close are we VG30? I want to see an SE before I buy one. I got free candy in my primered van. lol Seriously though if your not to far I would like to check one out.
The first one is new, the other one is from 8/02/07
The rust on the first is discouraging, hopefully its topical. From what you guys can see is that to much cancer to screw with?
sure, im in knightdale NC, no to sure where salisbury is but im about 4 miles east of raleigh
as far as rust, if thats the worst of it, id say go for it... these cars are going on 20years+, its very hard and expensive to find a perfect body... so as long as its not spread to baddly and nearing important parts(ie suspension components)and its just cosmetic, I woudlnt worry about it. The Mechanics would be more of what id worry about... If it can be daily driven without tooo much work, its worth $600.
VG30Es are plenty
PM me if you wana get together (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (although Im not yet able to drive my SE ether (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) not legal yet)

I will be getting this SE!
He was even cool with me fixing the car in his yard and driving it back. The rust is minor but I will make the call and share pictures as he sends them.
Please no cock blocking, I really want this thing lol
Yeah I don't know about the rest of the car but I think those little panels right under the tail lights are pretty prone to rusting. From what I understand they are removable so you can replace them with some good ones.
ok, ill back off, besides im having enough problems with my own (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
If you need any help, leme know, ill do my best to help ya
btw, did he say what exactly was wrong with her?
(note) A word to the wise however, do get in too deep... I learned the hard way. My first RX7 was in Nags Head NC and it cost me $500 for the car, then about 500 more or better i learned that I need to tow it back and that it wouldnt drive back. then spent another 300 for a tow and a couple hundred more on trying to figure it out, I never did... after awhile i just gave up and traded a friend for a Plymouth Voyager. Make sure you know what your getting into before putting money into a non-running car. Id say after a little messing with it, and if you cant get it going, jew the guy down some or walk... which brings me to my next point, dont throw money you will miss into a project car. Im sure most of this board is guilty of that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Im going to go down and check the car out before I agree to it of course. He says its just the radiator, so I will know. Im gonna pull the radiator out of the notch and take it. I am sure I can rig it up just long enough to drive it. He says the car will start right up if you jump off the battery i just couldnt let it warm up considering there is no water in it but it would tell me if it was straight enough to work with. Im gonna try to get a loan tomorrow. Hopefully I will have enough to buy the car, new cheap tires, new fluids, spark plugs wires, any dry rotted hoses etc...
Is the inlet/outlets on the VG radiator around the same area as a CA? Should be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I can use the vg hoses to bend into place as the CA's would be to short.
If it doesnt crank in 5 minutes of me hooking up the battery, I walk then.
It was originally owned by his Mom until she was to sick to drive a stick or so im told.
Anyone know of some nice stiff polyurethane suspension bushings for these beasts?
Good luck with the car, dude, I hope it works out. If you want to take a look at an SE there's also my 88 in Northwest Raleigh in addition to VG30_S12's in Knightdale and Redrocket's in Goldsboro. None of them are all that close to Salisbury, I know.
Isn't the Se Radiator way different from the ca's? I thought it was, but it could probably be made to work with some tinkering.
well, I tried to cross-reference the rads at advance, to no avail they do not carry ether...
BUT you can buy "fit to form" hoses from advance... so if your rad is alittle off, you should still be able to make it work without too much effort...
When you get her going, come down for a meet. Us "rare breed" SE Guys have to stick together (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Im using an 86 CA radiator, the only difference is that im running a 15lb cap on the radiator. Its the same as the SE rad minus the upper and lower tank. They are plastic instead of metal and it has the cap on the rad and no temp sensor housing. Factory SE hoses by the way, fits perfectly with no mods.
