Fiberglass Hoods

Hey guys,
i have a connection with the people of Modiride. I was talking to them about the possibility of doing fiberglass hoods for our cars...all we need is 20 people. it will cost roughly 300 bucks to get the hoods made. shipping i am unsure of at this moment, but i can find out.

Chris from Modiride can only do one style, and that would be the hood off my car..which is a MK2 style hood. so there is no options only MK2

there will be no discussion of other styles

i felt one of their hoods on a s13 and holy shit..its lighter than a cf hood. much better..and pretty rigid

I've talked with deadpirate about this over the phone and it's legit. I'm also in this groupbuy and certainly hoping that it goes somewhere unlike all of the other groupbuys that I've seen. If we make this happen, a mold will be made and the lack of aftermarket hoods for our cars will be no more. It would be a big step for s12 owners in this end of the world. And to add to the style topic since I'm sure it'll come up, only mk2 bulge hoods will be made. I don't want to hear you bitch and moan about how turbo hoods are better.

im in, i mean fuck it, its still fiberglass and light weight, cooling efficinecy for our cars is sought through the grille, so theres no reason for a scoop...and im sure if you wanted one, you could add one to it...so yea really dont bitch lets make this happen, only 17 people left to commit guys

I'm in.. mind as well.. fiberglass fenders.. and now hoods .. weeeeee damn it won't be 50/50 anymore...

sorry i like my turbo hood if that option ever comes up I'll be in good luck with the group buy anyway tho...

after we get enough people signed up, i will talk to chris from modiride some more and get a definate price, but i honestly dont think it will be more then 200 bucks

I will have to modify the hell out of my hood either way i go. i am "interested" but not set yet, so dont add me just yet. i should have my engine dropped in the car by no later than this weekend so i will know a little better as to what type of hood scoop style i will need. it would be easier to resin a fiberglass scoop onto a fiberglass hood, not to mention even less weight. i will let you guys know soon as i can.
