Bartco Is Back Open For Business
Sah-weet! 1985 hatch with ca18det
front and rear strut tower braces
tubular header
maybe water/air intercooler kit
I look forward to everything you make
I'd like to get a strut bar for a CA18DET as long as it fit over the CA20E I have right now..
Rear strut bar would be good too..
how bout a C-Pillar bar for our cars? i know some of the guys wanna race and would like to run 5 point belts, and need a good secure way to mount them
anything suspension and bushings for 84's, anything you can do for us mk1(ca20), differentials??
oh and Hi, you were leaving as i was just joining this forum.
I want all your ca18et stuffs fo sho so just keep me updated with the stuff your making and you got a definate buyer!!
sweet, i'd be in for a ka strut bar
I'm gonna be interested in the water/air intercooler kits. It won't be for an S12 so I probably won't need piping. I want the water/air because of the limited space I have to work with, and the fact that air/air won't work with a RR car (unless I do long-ass hot and cold pipes and route them up front and deal with a ridiculous pressure drop).
So I'd need water/air intercooler, reservoir, pump, and heat exchanger. I can source piping, SS braided lines, fittings and silicone couplers.
(for the 73 Super Beetle listed below, and there is NO rush on this, cuz it doesn't even run yet)
Welcome back!!
HOOOOOLD the phone!....
you finished the coilovers!?

pretty much ya... i am going to redesign a bit before they will get produced though...
fuckin sweet!!! coil overs ftw!

same here. i wonder if the 24e and 24de sit the same height in the engine bay. ill have to take some measurements when i get the 24e in. asparagus or someone else with a 24de could also take some measurements.
also a ka24e turbo manifold would be sick, since those are hard to come by.
Bart has requested this be left in Coffee Shop, as he isn't ready to offer these things... this is all set-up stage.
I talked with him some more about all this today... it sounds like this is going to shape up to be a fun year for Bart and S12 parts.... we are thinking website, so that's probably the next stage.
Post your interest, but he's not ready juuust yet. Maybe in a month. Maybe less. But SOON!!!
Hell yes!
BartCo Club-Spec upgrades.
Ill take strut braces and a fuel rail!
Bart could start a S12 revolution. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

He tried, and then got tied up with other things. This is going to be good for the Club, our master tech is back. Welcome back Bart

lol thanks i really appreciate all the positive feedback and encouragement... and arro thanks for all the help you are giving me with that help bartco will evelove to way more then just i would be able to do..... keep the ideas coming so i can make a master list of all stuff you guys want
Well, I'm going to be working on some kind of website for his stuff.... nothing high-tech, no complicated electronic ordering... just a visual showcase of what he can offer, with prices and contact information, maybe even a tech section to support the products (think installtion diagrams, etc.). It's not gonna happen overnight, and it may change as we improve things.
What you see there in the above pictures is part of what is going to be offered. We've been discussing some other things, maybe a lighter version of the current strut tower bar (that would cost a bit more) for those who are weight-conscious.... an airflow meter upgrade kit w/ afc, maybe even a custom large-plenum intake manifold.
I don't see a practical C-pillar bar design here... anything like that should really be directly welded to the unibody, not bolted on. Anyways, anyone wanting a 5-point harness should have a cage as well. And I don't expect Bart to be producing cage components since those, too have to be welded together onto the unibody. Those kinds of things aren't practical for what Bartco will be headed towards, which is bolt-on options.
Still, with some proper planning, Bartco could be the largest source/variety of S12-specific parts, and from what you all see of these pictures, that would be a good thing.
I'm excited!
Best of luck, small business wise. Owning a small business can be rough.
Make a sweet BartCo logo and make stickers! After you make prodeucts of course.
ill take a front strut brace for a vg, as well as coilovers front and rear.
i may consider a rear brace, but i might be running a fuel cell and battery in the trunk, so that may not work so well.
if you guys need measurements or anything, my engine will be pulled by the end of the month, and the bay will be empty for a while, just shoot me a pm, would be glad to help
may i suggest also...
brake booster brace
engine torque damper
camber plates
rear subframe bushings

I would think that a MAF adapter for a Z31 would be the same...?
