gadget1382Good luck Killing the CA20e...

I tried doing what you said to mine... didnt work. As in, revved the hell out of the engine, but it just slipped and created alot of noise.

This is after rev limiting it at a skid pan day for 3 hours...

Ended up just giving up after running the engine without coolant for 10min and it was still holding up... :s

Sure the garage was full of smoke and was nearly passing out from the fumes... but it just didnt die :S

If all else fails theirs always running it without oil :X lol

Well then, someone's got a limp wrist =P

god thats bright man, I dont mind pink, but its gotta be that powder pink, no way id deal with gloss pink constantly, id get out of my car with a headache every day.
ArroAug 23, 2008, 2:41 pm · #4

wow. um. PINK. Yeah. Doesn't do it for me, just not a fan of "let's ghey-up my S12". But it's an actual style now it seems, so what do I know

I'd judge the actual paint job, but you know what... the stuff is so BRIGHT that your camera's photoelectric eye seems to be overwhelmed by it lol... maybe it's the lighting? Maybe someone like Henry who knows how to get the most out of a camera can offer some tips for better shots, so I, well so we all, can see what the paint actually looks like.

Just a thought.

but yeah I need to upgrade. ha ha ha

Dude if you're gonna go pink inside you should just go the whole way. I dont like gheying up the car, but in the case of an entirely PINK car inside and out, I think that would be killer, because nobody has done anything like it in an 80's car other than some chick's Camaro or whatever.

I'm sure it's been done in S13 and S14 already, even Z31. So why not an S12? lol

lol.....

No offence to any cali guys, but this is about the only way I can think to explain it without straight up giving it away.

Think San Francisco....and one of its most famous parades.....and that one club you'd never go to, because its for people who swing the other way....

I know how you can kill the ca20, strap a turbo on it and boost it till it goes boom.  OR you can cross the PCV and the heater hose lines.  Crank it over a few times allowing the coolant to mix really well with the oil, swap the hose back, and get in some high reving runs.  Like the turbo idea better, problem is that it would take to long to put it together.

UPDATE:!!!!!!!! I just found out a way to kill the CA20E .....

click link for details http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2008/05/guy-a...ormance-by.html

brewster240Sep 1, 2008, 2:52 am · #10

why are you ruining this car?

jeffwins24Sep 1, 2008, 4:33 am · #11

Bah, it's a slow project. I plan on a CA18DET now, it's official. keep it with the same engine series and...... now the pink is finally after who knows how long finally getting on my nerves...

REPAINT JOB TIME!!!! and maybe a new camera too, and about 5 layers of clear coat.

ArroSep 1, 2008, 4:17 pm · #12

dude I think you have the wrong idea bout clearcoat, you might want to surf a bit on google and read up on what other people have done.

Though I liked my idea better, that would really kill it.

UPDATE: I JUST FINISHED getting a engine hoist from my home mechanic boy LMAO

and 200SXXEnotchbck86 if no one buys my turbo I'll just go with blowing the CA20E up under boost. lmao i like it better.

I'm also dropping the CA and buying a KA24E with tranny and wiring for 100 bux it has a blown headgasket though.

lmao I'm gonna crack the CA20E's wall's with 20 pounds of boost LMFAO

jeffwins24Nov 4, 2008, 4:58 pm · #15

does anyone know how to remove to driveshaft part from the tranny? or does it just pop off while you're removing the tranny?

update: did more shit, somehow david inspired me... don't ask how he just did.

anyway i removed alot of shit engines about ready to come out. i just need a few more bolts out, i stopped for now it's too dark outside it'll all come out tomorrow.

ArroNov 4, 2008, 6:41 pm · #16

Well keep at it then! And who cares what color you paint things, it's cleaner than it was before. I mean Henry and Sterling both have whacky colors on their cars, after all.

jeffwins24Nov 6, 2008, 3:48 pm · #17

MAJOR UPDATE AGAIN!: soooo.... i was hard headed and didn't do what you guys told me too and had a rough time with the tranny     lmfao at least it's out

Jeff, be sure to check the pictures in my thread and Henry's... that way you can see what to keep in the bay and what to remove. You still have a lot of useless bullshit in the engine bay you can get rid of before you put the swap in.

Also you might as well start modifying your crossmember, again my thread has pictures of it in detail.

Yeah in your other thread where you had trouble getting the trans out, I saw that, and suggested now was as good a time as any to learn to weld
