Second, do you have larger pics?

be nice ppl...i see this thread going somewhere mean

Ehh I don't have a problem w/ someone doing a bodykit, as long as it's done well, and they are just going for the 'show' look.

On the 2G Neon forum, we have a lot of guys who run bodykits and ride on airbags, and are mostly 'show' and not really 'go'.

haha! well please, that front bumper looks ridiculous.. doesn't fit the s12's angular body AT ALL.. it just looks very childish (do I hear anyone say ricer?). in my opinion, that front bumper takes away all the attention from the rest of the car in a negative way. i mean, the rest of the car may be really nice, but with that eyesore sticking out, it just ruins the car as a whole.

just my opinion man, good luck with your project (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I would never lay fibreglass over bondo. After working in a bodyshop since highschool i know that as long as you mix the bondo with correct ratio to hardener it should be ok. Bondo is actually a type of plastic (or polyester or something) and has the ability to slightly flex, with expanding and contracting metal during hot and cold days. Bondo cracks are usually due to improper sanding beneath it, major changes in metal shape (ie denting after the work is done), poor mix ratio, dirt/air/paint underneath. If you're filling minor dents look at using a 2part finishing putty (might also be called glazing putty). Less pinholes and for the most part you can apply it directly over sanded paint as opposed to bondo needing bare metal.

Cainhos - nice choice on the taillights they seem to fit in there quite well.

well...i was filling a big dent...but its just pita to get it that smooth...its like, once i get one are perfect another line comes up...im still working at making it perfect with the little time i have right now...so i guess i need to be more patient...thanx a lot though

Comming along nice mate!

The tail lights set it off well! I envy the amount of time and love you can put into your car!

J-manJun 20, 2008, 11:30 am · #23

I agree forget the haters just keep trucking along I like the taillights very nice work don't forget not EVERYONE is against you I personally can't wait to see what paint color are you thinking of? I wish I was talented enough to put those taillights in my car that would look soo much nicer and I don't care what anyone says (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I follow my own path in life and a lot of the time I take a lot of criticism so just keep going you've got the thumbs up here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) just don't forget your doing it for what you like not everyone elses keep up the good work

P.S. what car is the rear bumper from?
