Who Knows About The Qr25de
the new replacement for the SR should be the MR
All I know is they burn tons of oil, they are constantly recalled at nissan dealers
yah there was a string of them that got built pretty badly. But the other side of it is the building potential. the sentra spec v is like 200hp factory tuned so imagine what a frontier swap with bolts ons would feel like especially since its lighter than the others
its a crappy engine, i know of so many se-r's that run like shit
on the other hand, a qr20 with a shorter stroke exists, and the heads flow better than sr20 stuff, it would be an alright engine if built
you can use parts for ethier qr series so you could use the rods from a qr20 which rev to 8000. Its not really anything going on with it but depending on ecu you used its stock rater at like 145 for a early version and 200 for the newer sentra. If i can find one im gonna build it
my brother had an 03 specV and it was pretty fast. He had a few bolt ons, stock internals, stock clutch and was running high 13's. But when it was stock, I put a vlsd in my first s13 and i'd hang with him till about 100, then 115 along w/ my fuel cut hit and he gone (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ..never had a prob w/ his except gettin repod
if u can get one otta a frontier its RWD.
thats my plan to use the frontier block and head and the rest of the spec-v stuff as much as possible but the drive by wire things im a little worried about how to make that work in the s12. I was also thinking about going with a itb set up on it to get rid of the drive by wire set up.
