Im looking at an 84 turbo appears to have alot of factory options. has a starting issue though, from what the guy told me and with all the info i have been able to gather here it sounds like the crank sensor that alot of these cars have trouble with. guy says it starts in the early morning while cold but "let it sit in the sun for a couple hours and it wont atart" i can most likely pick it up for $500 but at most $600. the body appears very straight no clue on the interior. Any help or advice would be great, i do not know where to find the sensor and would be doing my own work so i might have to by a whole new dizzy. (230 with core yikes) any helps a plus and i hope to be joining this fine community very soon.

Hoping To Add A S12 Turbo To My Garage Today Need Help Though.
SWEET man, hope you get it. The sensor is located in the distributor, under the cap and rotor, there's a small sheild, and then the optical sensor. For starters, you can blow it out/clean real good in there, see if thats an issue.
Otherwise, check to make sure, when the engine isn't starting, if you are missing fuel/spark at all. When it heats up and stops running, several sensors could do that, but the CAS is a common one.
Well if you havent noticed i took the plunge and bought the car. runs great all it needed was some gas and a good romping around. Heres some photos.

Love it! Awesome find, thats a sharp car

datsun turbo.
very awesome find. very hard to find
All '84 models are badged "Datsun by NISSAN".
But yeah, '84 Turbo isn't common. So few of them, with people wrecking them, junking them, or rolling them upside down in their back yard
