This is where u can ask any questions about my manifold. this way it keeps the original listing clean and more visible for everyone

The price you are charging is very reasonable, I'd even go as far as to say it's less than what they are worth. I know I have made manifolds before and know how much work it is.
takes him awhile lol but OMG is that thing the absolute sex! Bart that is possibly some of your best manifold work, far above the welds in the BMW setup IMO. GREAT JOB!
My question is will you be making them for us guys that want to stay single cam I.E. me?
Since this is a discussion about CA18DET manifolds, ask any questions about the single cam engine in his other thread in "Product Advertisements". And not the CA18DET manifold thread there, either wink.gif
so....anyway how good does this flow

He should take the stock CA18DET manifold and this one and flowbench them. Oh wait, he already shipped the first one out. Oh well tongue.gif
damn you bart lol
flow how well do full race engineering mani flow well?... it'll flow more then anyone will be able to make with a ca18det
if I cant get mine cleaned up, can you copy mine for me. Mine was fabbed by turbo tom.
If so how much and how long?

this is good to know. I want to upgrade to a 18g/ext. wastegate, so it's good to see you have already worked with a DSM turbo.
It's more money, but better products cost more thumbsup2.gif

if i where to copy that i would change the design a bit to make it flow better. now that turbo there is it a divided turbine housing
What does "divided turbine" mean?
Arro @ Sep 29 2008, 08:43 PM
It's a divider inside the turbine housing to direct gases to different parts of the turbine wheel:
you answered just as I was googling it. thanks
Next dumb question, is that a good thing on such a small engine.
I think the answer is no, it isn't IMO, but likely someone will disagree with me tongue.gif
divided housing dont really start seeing gains until you start getting into large turbos... and also 6-8cylinder engines where it easier to make manifolds with a 3/4 collector, as well as the divided housing on 6-8cylinder engines also help to take advantage of exhaust pulses better
thats odd, It boosts fast and pretty hard( as hard as 5psi will any way). I ve still got to retune for 10psi.

Ive tried to find out, but from what I could research, it's a turbonetics thats been basterd'ized. Tom had a habit of experimenting with different configurations. I think the compressor is a T3, the exhaust is a T4. the flange looks like a T3 but has a 4in downpipe. I cant find ANY numbers on the housing, just a faded turbonetics sticker. Im sorry for running this thread off topic.
Turbonetics (which are Garrett based) T04 series, Some Holset turbos, and some Banks have this design. A T3 with this probably a custom Turbonetics thing. I've seen them before but it's not common.
