I've finally acquired the first stage of my cold air intake. It's a SS mesh 2 1/4" ID
highflow filter. We use these on some of our equipment. this one was an orphan 'cause we sold the machine. So I took pity on the poor little guy and gave it a new home. So in the weeks to come, my intentions are to make a true CAI for the car.IPB Image

A carpet cleaning machine, a REALLY BIG machine. I actually have one that is 3 1/2" ID, but it is just too big

Oh. Nice. That should filter pretty good shouldn't it. I would imagine that a vacuum filter would let less through it since it is made for catching dust. thumbsup2.gif

It'll keep out the grasshoppers LOL. I'm planning to put this in front of the IC and pipe it to a K&N cone. I also just got me a KA throttlebody. I'm hoping to squeeze out every last horsey I can.
