New Moderator

This has been in the back of my head for awhile now, and I haven't discussed it with anyone else. It's just something I decided myself. I wanted another moderator. Someone who would be very concerned with the well-being of the forum, but from the technical standpoint as well as the social community. I approached a particular individual and he agreed to take on the responsibility.

Xano has been on here since '07, and in that short time has proven to me over and over that he is concerned with both aspects of the forum. He contacts me whenever there are technical concerns, and he's been very reasonable when he's offered private thoughts on situations that have happened in threads. He's sharp, and he cares about this place. We've spoken at length and I'm confident he can manage things as a solid team member.

I've never been friends with him personally, but I consider him a valued fellow member on Club-S12. This appointment comes solely because he has the right attitude, the right interest in the wellbeing of the forum, and the right ideas.

So please welcome him to his new responsibilities and assist him if you can.

With that said, I do indeed believe we have too many moderators. Some of them are "inactive". It's been a concern of mine for awhile now, but I will be altering the status of some of those to "Honored Veterans". They will not be on the actual Moderator team. I'm simply giving them their dues, and yet still trying to streamline the team.

I want total coverage of the forum, in order to best serve all of you, and provide the most effective source of information, and the most civil social environment that I can.

Thanks all! as Arro said, I'll be fair and right with whats going on, whether it be an issue with a member or technical issue related to information on the S12, or even technical issues with the forum itself.

I appreciate the fact that I was thought of by him to be a new moderator very much! It was completely unexpected when he asked me earlier today haha.

I want everyone to know they are welcome to PM me at ANY time if you are having a problem with something and no admins are online. I get my Club-S12 PM messages sent to my phone, so I can check on it as soon as I get em, or at least reasonably soon.

He wasnt the only one who has been noticing actions and thought that you would be a good moderator. Couple of use agreed with him.

It is not allowed for someone to post for someone else, or especially it is not allowed for you to let someone post their own comments from your account.

This means I can't go to Colin's house and post from his account but using my words.

Now nobody really does this, *except* for when someone is trying to get around a ban on their own account. It's happened a couple times before and we won't allow it. If someone is not allowed to post, either temporarily or for a longer period of time (or permanently), then nobody can let them post through their account.

We will not tolerate rules and moderation decisions being skirted, and action will be taken on those who try to.

ok quick question what if I'm friends with said person that is banned and we hangout and I took pics of said persons car and wanted to post them for my own leisure because i like sadi persons car how does that work?

your best bet on that, is to ask a moderator if its OK to post, They will most likely ask the other mod's opinions.

Yeah guys the mods really have no way of knowing if someone is posting under your account so you all need to make sure you let them know! I wish we actually knew how many people were post banned but that is g-14 classified.

I edited your signature. If it had something I found objectionable, it's my choice to do so.

You guys make such a big deal out of things when I or others moderate. Frankly I don't care, I know I do what I do for good reason, and on the occasions where someone has privately shown me a stronger alternative viewpoint, I've retracted it.

I don't mind *some* discussion about moderation, but really the next person who *smarts off* about how things are moderated is DONE for week. A WEEK! Yes, a whole week's vacation from Club-S12. So which one of you needs a vacation?

Sure, if you take the picture, whatever.

I'm talking about entire posts that basically allow a banned person to get around the ban and get their content up on the forum.
