I just noticed, whatever did happen to Henry anyway on here anyway? I see he sorta frequents HybridZ as well since he picked up an s30.

I've been banned from Zilvia before. I've learned to use it for its FS/WTB section only. If you're not a suck up over there, you're good as banned. Besides...most or all questions have been covered on Freshalloy already. I joined and am still with Freshalloy since they started.

Henry is their S12 bitch. He has a great car, I admit that, but he clings to Zilvia because, well, because he's not allowed here. So of course he's all they know. And most of them apparently are too arrogant to take a look to see there are plenty of slick S12's. Even the "nicer" peeps on there.

And why didn't the moderators just clean the threads? The locked thread and locked pic thread are proof that Zilvia refuses to permit S12-specific topics on their site. I heard from a few people that Henry is "boycotting" C-S12 (which is funny since I banned him myself before that), but the irony is if anyone should be boycotted, it should be Zilvia for failing to acknowledge the S12, instead just disrespecting it.

I guess you missed that post (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif).

Yeah, most of us have broken S12's or S12's that are part-way through a build... but honestly here's the thing:

In the beginning, the S12 had so little support. Then Club-S12 came along, and a few people tuned up some nice S12's. But by and large, we had NO aftermarket (not even springs), and so most of us could only dream of fabrication solutions.

THEN, there was BART, and a few things like cone filters and springs and little shit. And we got enthusiastic. Then we started talking SWAPS and people got excited. A number of you did actual, completed swaps, resulting in bad-ass cars. For awhile, it was great.

Then the great economic crash came. Lots of us were scramblin to pay bills. Gas prices were through the roof -- over 4 bux a gallon here in the States. Times were tough. Many people lost their houses, their newer cars, their jobs... and the automotive tuning world suffered big-time.

It's been a year or so now. Things are finally reaching close to bottom. People are starting to save up for modifications, or finally finishing repairs. Give it another year or so, and a number of these in-progress projects will be complete, and we will have some real fun then!

That's my take on it.

right on the money, preach on brother. I got fed up with the lack of progress on my s12, so i bought a superbike to build up. its near completion and should be done within the next few weeks. after that im ready to toss money and time back at the s12

these people are ignorant as fuck. they are spoiled, they dont know how to adapt anything, they buy ebay shit and go for "fitment"

fuck them, i hate most other s chassis owners for this reason.

theyre full of shit most the time
theyre lacking knowledge

and most of the time theyre some spoiled ass asian kid from a swanky part of orange county

Honestly, cant say much more than has. I was just curious. Decided to sell somethinge stuff and figured that would be the easiest to boost my post count in addition to being productive. Any way, just cements my opinion of the tuning scene, knowledge, attitude and in general of the States. Times like this answers my question as to why I spend more time on international auto forums and talking with those from other countries. Ironic see the US in many ways pioneered freedom for the people in the modern world and yet we've become the opposite. Also reason I've really not bothered with my project on 'local' sites. meh

unfortunatly this is the land of the free, not the land free of assholes...
no matter where you are, your going to find an asshole here or there... we just happend to walk into a whole mess of them...
but i do agree, overseas people are more friendly(except when it comes to shipping lol)

Probably because I'm sick and fuckin' tired of trying to cover for his ass, keeping my mouth shut and keeping other people's on here, when ever since that bullshit happened, he's somehow continued to be a thorn in my side... someone complaining about him gone, him talking shit for awhile there, him asking Colin to put his new content in his build thread, and now sending me some hate mail over the "whiny bitch" comment on Zilvia, and telling me to tell him to his face come July at Sterling's..and in the same message, that he could care less (the irony is inescapable).

Zilvia is a waste of time. As much as nico is a freeforall, at least discussions aren't as one-sided.
