Reoffering this service after a hiatus. Please read everything below as some info has changed.
------------

I can rebuild pretty much any journal bearing turbo. Doesn't really matter what car its from or who made it.

$150 for small frame turbos like t25/t28
$200 mid and large frame like T3/T04E/60-1 etc etc
$300 for Turbonetics large/oversize shaft turbos
Email: iggyeguana (at) yahoo.com
or just PM me on here
Price is USD of course

All bearings, seals, and thrust parts replaced. Internally and externally cleaned including the housings. Balance is maintained by carefully indexing the rotating parts to each other. That way the original factory balance is restored. Turn around time is 2-3 weeks. Some large frame turbos might take longer due to rebuild kit availability.

I treat every turbo as if it was my own. (better actually)  If you have questions just ask.

A few of things I have to mention. VERY important!

1. If your turbo was rebuilt by somebody else and now its blown again DO NOT send it to me. Either they rebuilt it even though it was unrepairable and took your money anyway or they did the job incorrectly or they did not index the balance. In some cases I can repair what they did at the same time I service it but if they didn't index the parts for balance I CANNOT REBALANCE it. Theres no way for me to restore the original balance after its been altered. So if that happened to ur turbo ur ONLY option is one of the pro turbo service shops that have the machines to give the turbo a brand new balance. Note that large frame turbos normally have their parts balanced intependantly. Meaning that the parts are not indexed to each other.

2. If your compressor or turbine wheel has contacted the housing AT ALL!!!! its balance AND flow characteristics are trashed and so is it. Its garage decoration. A good way to avoid this happening is to STOP USING THE TURBO as soon as you figure out its blown.

3. If I take apart ur turbo and find that the shaft is worn undersized or the center housing bore is damaged I will reassemble it and send it back. I'll refund your money minus the shipping. Again, a good way to avoid this is to STOP USING THE TURBO as soon as you figure out its blown.

NEW------>>4. BEFORE SHIPPING!! Remove the oil feed line and oil return flange. Remove the water lines and take off the compressor inlet/outlets and o2 pipe. Not only does this make it easier and cheaper to ship but it greatly reduces the risk of damage during shipping.

NEW------>>5. Please view the following guide on how to package/ship/post a turbo. http://club-s12.org/retro4/index.php?topic=29207 The pics are dead right now but are viewable here with captions: http://www.myspace.com/my/photos/album/3616208

Yeah Iggy is definitely a well respected club s12 member with a lot documented car knowledge. While I have never had any business transactions though him personally everyone that has done business with him seems very happy.

Thanks guys for the positive comments.

Couple of things I forgot to mention.

1. If ur turbo was rebuilt by somebody else a little bit ago and now its already blown again DO NOT send it to me.  They either damaged a bearing or sealing surface or they assembled it incorrectly or they did not index the balance.  In some cases I can repair what they did at the same time I service it but if they didn't index the parts for balace I CANNOT REBALANCE it.  Theres no way for me to restore the original balance after its been altered.  So if that happened to ur turbo ur ONLY option is one of the pro turbo service shops that have the machines to give the turbo a brand new balance.

2. If I take apart ur turbo and find that the shaft is worn undersized I will reassemble and send it back and refund ur money minus the shipping.  Undersized means that the shaft has been worn down by excessive friction and is now too small (and usually too rough) to be reused without resurfacing and use of special bearings.  A good way to avoid this happening is to stop using the turbo as soon as you figure out its blown.

Thanks again guys and I wanna point out that blown t25s and t28s are pretty damn cheap on ebay when u can find them.  Usually buying a blown turbo and having it rebuild ends up costing more than buying a "good" used one.  With me thats not true.

sideways_s12Aug 19, 2009, 7:18 pm · #7

I got a holset h1c coming in the next week or so that needs rebuilding I'll let you know when i get it

ArroAug 19, 2009, 9:41 pm · #8

This sort of thing should be in product advertisements, not wanted to sell, so I'll move it. If you're selling items, that's for Wanted To Sell. If you're making a regular product(s) or offering regular service, it goes in "Product Advertisements".

Anyways, I'm glad you were smart about not taking in turbos that have bigger problems. Very wise.

You should also pick up blown T2's, T25's, etc. whenever possible so you can rebuild them then sell them on here (or wherever).

The WD-40 on them after they're done is to lubricate and displace water.  I'm gonna do a "How to ship a turbo" thread in the next few days.  Should help some people out.

thats the price you pay for a slight increase in on/off throttle spool response.  What turbo exactly?  You sure its BB?  Google the number on the data plate.  14411-XXXXX

Shaft wear was a little more than I like to see but not enough to cause failure just reduced life.  Wear was greater on the turbine side which is normal.

Precat damage is very common on them, it sucks. Very dumb idea.

ClownyFeb 10, 2010, 3:27 pm · #25

I can kinda see where they were going with the pre-turbo cat idea (burn the unburned hydrocarbons for more turbo pressure) but agree that the downside is waaay worse than the upside.

Waylon how do you balance the turbos after reassembly? Someone local cutting you a deal on VSR balancing?

Ahh so you have that as an option tho, good to know.... I would be willing to pay the extra if you had a line on a balancing service. I'll definitely keep you in mind when I get around to boost.

Lol. Did you ever get the t28 kit? For the hybrid? If not I say just go ahead and rebuild the t25g. Also I'll kick you down what we discussed so the 60trim can get started on....

IggyEGuanaFeb 15, 2011, 10:06 am · #34

ok.  I contacted the vendor yesterday and they said "oops" and are sending another kit *facepalm*

Oh and how soon they sending the kit? Also you think one of those turbos will be a good size for the dsm?
IggyEGuanaFeb 16, 2011, 1:38 am · #36

ur 60 is sized good for the ca. stick with that.  idk bout the dsm but i kno none are flanged for the dsm.  the big 16g she has is more than plenty for what she does with the car.  the kit should be a couple days. no rush bro. u have A LOT that u need to take care of on that car before u push the power too far

IggyEGuanaFeb 25, 2011, 3:30 pm · #37

bump? i guess... several members have pmed me about rebuilds or sourcing them turbos.  have had good communication with a couple but others dont reply to my questions... ?

also: i wont be available for contact from march 1st to the 10th, sorry

ProlowtoneFeb 26, 2011, 3:38 am · #38

Your rebuilt turbos look so sexy, clean and innocent.. but we know they just want to get under the hood and go to work. I guess that makes you a pimp dude :D

On another not, If you were closer i would get you to give mine a good rebuild! But i need to save money for my car and I also feel that i should know how to do it. Keep up the good work

NamelessFeb 26, 2011, 9:06 am · #39

Looks like real quality work, awesome man. If i do a turbo project anytime soon i will def get you to rebuild it. Thumbs up

sideways_s12Feb 26, 2011, 3:30 pm · #40

He does do good work I have used 2 turbos that he has rebuilt and they have run like champs....

IggyEGuanaFeb 27, 2011, 12:01 am · #41

IggyEGuanaApr 13, 2012, 12:05 am · #42

ProlowtoneApr 14, 2012, 4:21 am · #44

PM me when you do, I might send away my 50 trim if i dont use it right away

IggyEGuanaAug 6, 2012, 10:53 pm · #45

i guess i am doing this again $150 for T25s and $200 for mid/large frame. $300 for tubonetics oversized shaft turbos. but no bullshit. seriously. if i get it and it looks cooked/fucked or ANY wheel contact has been made i'm sending that shit right back and you lose shipping costs. $20-$40

Someone please tell me if this link works to a myspace album for how to package/ship/post a turbo. thx
http://www.myspace.com/my/photos/album/3616208

Thank you

I take it the reason you stopped is because you kept getting BS turbos?

Oh and what would my 60 trim be classified as
IggyEGuanaAug 7, 2012, 12:41 am · #47

ya there were a couple different t25s that were toast but i tried to help people out. That and i did some on hookup, ran into problems, ate the extra expenses and lost money. oh and there was the turbonetics one where the rebuild kit alone cost a little under $200. fuck that

i already rebuilt ur 60. I got that flange and gasket for it too

ProlowtoneAug 7, 2012, 1:53 am · #48

I finally got the info for it from my friend i bought it off, I took it in to RotoMaster (ADP Distributors of Langley BC) and it was BAD...... turbo cost 750ish the rebuild is gonna ding me 500 before tax T_T. Journal bearings spun in the housing, so the shaft is as fucked as the center cluster (Sorry if my terminology sucks :P). Need to be ground out and bigger bearings, shaft put in, My wheels and housing stuff are fine.

I think it might take more abuse with the bigger/stronger bearings and a new shaft..... think its worth it? i think they said the turbo is a stage 3 good for about 400hp

IggyEGuanaAug 8, 2012, 2:27 am · #49

there are other turbos with similar or better flow characteristics for your setup that cost less. if it were me i wouldnt

sideways_s12Aug 8, 2012, 5:44 am · #50

I know the 60s been rebuilt just wanted to know what it was classified AZ frame wise
