Theres a buddy in the city here that does it....I personally like it.....but understand its outside the box and definitely not everyones cup of tea

I was THINKING of possibly getting it done on my boring black hood if he will give me a deal......heres some of his work

Actually really cool, but not someting I think would look good on an S12... UNLESS it was done with a more synthetic style.

All in your preferences though.

I had a similar idea, and still do.  I'll be hopefully eventually having Jason Green do some art on my car, using it as a veritable canvas.

Something along these lines

a circuit board maybe as its geometric , not fluid or random

but it all looks way to busy for my taste..plus i have to look at the hood& light while im driving...i dont want to be trying to figure out what something is on my car

KustamogenJun 2, 2010, 4:20 pm · #5

if my hood was professionally painted and such I definitely wouldnt do it....but mines just spray bombed (maybe rolled on).........apparently for the BMW in those pics they vinyled the hood first so it could be taken off lol

I think he will do any type of style....but I think for now I will save the $ and get my suspension parts first haha

theres a Gallardo thats completely covered in Sharpie art. its pretty amazing that someone could do all that with just markers.

That lambo is SICK! I wonder how many hours it took to do that.

I kind of agree with too busy on the other cars, especially the honder.

I personally can't draw a straight line with a ruler but I love art, irony?

KustamogenJun 2, 2010, 6:32 pm · #8

I asked the guy how long it would take him to do my hood....and he says it averages about 15 hours......

so assuming the Lambo guy took it even slower......a whole car would be what? likely 60-80hrs?

far too long for any patience I would have haha

kelso840Jun 2, 2010, 6:51 pm · #9

And it can't be cheap for 60-80 hours of sharpie inhalation via art... But if you bought the lambo, you probably got the dough.

fastback_silviaJun 2, 2010, 7:11 pm · #10

you can love art and not be able to draw a straight line. art isnt about precision and perfection, its about expression and  freedom of design.

Good and valid points. I was just saying that even if I attempted abstract art a janitor's strategically placed mop would sell faster in a gallery than my scribbles.

Do you sand it before? Clear it after?

How many markers you think that takes?

Cheaper than actual paint I imagine.

I bet Staples gets cleaned out when he shops for supplies!

I always thought it would be hilarious to do your hood up with exactly what was under it. Make a nice painted/drawn version of all the engine bits underneath.
fyneyoungstunnaJun 3, 2010, 2:21 am · #16

its not bad if you have patience. im doing it for a friends bumper on his 240, parts of the Z are getting it, and im in the process of getting a friend to let me do it to his vip lexus. Its cheaper if you either go to a few different walmarts or order direct from sharpie as they will cut you a deal if you order in bulk.
Ive started sanding the bumper for the z, and will be primiering soon. Ill post pics of the finished project. The vip lexus is getting gold and sky blue with a grey undertone, its white by the way.
the 240 is getting something close to whats in the hella flush 3 video.

Autism Awareness? there is a Pignose running round here with the puzzle piece hood but with smaller pieces

JonBAnyone?

next time I talk to him Ill ask
DeezusJun 6, 2010, 3:29 am · #22

it has nothing to do with autism but i get that alot... and s12s may be anti-Vag but this hood deffinatly attracts Vagina. Its either "OMG thats soo cool, i wanna come see it in person" or if their are the caring non-whore type then yes it does have everything to do with autism awareness. or when i have to impress womenz parents lol

I want some of this on the driffers white hood. Need an artist.

nismologistNov 19, 2010, 12:49 am · #27

My art is trash. I contract. My ability to contract well is truly mine.

DeezusNov 20, 2010, 8:12 am · #29

sometimes garbage art looks better than someone who can draw good. I did this type of shit on a skateboard and intentionally did a shitty job because it looked better to me.

I approve.
I'm the same way
But I don't need an artist. Just another Altezza fad IMO
