MaxpowAs soon as I get my car running I will come out. I am so sad about my car right now. Just spent about 24 hours taking everything apart to see if there was damage from broken timing belt, now it runs like shit that I have it back together. . I don't know what to do now I feel so defeated.
Damn i feel for you i know how that feels. You may have bent valves i know i snap my timing belt on my ca20 and just put new belt but my car ran like shit after that. I dont know how much gap the vg have but i know that the ca20 has 0.010 mm of a gap which is not alot.
If you have rough idel or rpm wont drop no more then 1500 rpm you may have bent valves
also lack of power.
Even if you do a compression test or leak down test you wont find the problem. The valve may be bent a little.
I suggest you take the heads off and send them to be check. I pay about 150 bucks per head at a machine shop.
If you need valves, head gasket, etc i could help you find it at a low cost.
I dont know if the 94 nissan quest vg motor is the same as the 88 vg motor but my Mom owns the van i had rebuilt her vg 3 times already and may have spare parts.
Or may be the timing is off or the belt on cam is of by thooth or need to be advance.
