The NOS drink ForumFest was nuts. There were cars from all around the PNW and tons of forums representing.
In addition to the show event, there were both a Drag Race event and a Drift competition. Busy friggin day overall at Pacific Raceways. The cool thing was that the drift competition was at PGR, the Kart track.
Met up with some old S12 owners and old school forum members who have since been inactive. A couple still had their S12s after all these years in their yards sitting around doing nothing as of yet. Glad to have helped them get their motivation going. Even got a Mitsu guy who worked at a Mitsu dealership to seriously consider getting an S12 and toying with it. Several others who never gave an S12 a single thought actually were willing to consider picking one up for their own cheap garage builds as well.
Still had a handful of people thinking it was an AE. The usual Celica-Supra, Supra, and even one thought it was an old school Skyline. The usual really. Despite that, the majority of those did know it was of Silvia lineage as the S12.
And yes, S12s can stand up with other vehicles, imports and domestics, old school to new models. It managed to obtain two trophies.

I saw some pics of the 350z that rolled on pgp drifting...nuts. I wish I could have made it up to this or to formula d...but money has been tight because of a lack of hours at the sign shop....egh...also, my brothers wedding is coming up so i need to buy some clothes for that soon...It would have been awesome to have met some inactive s12 guys though and shown off the pos.
btw...since this is discussing a meet that has already happened i am just going to move this into the coffee shop because i am pretty sure the meets sections supposed to be for trying to get meets going...though that sometimes doesnt always work...(IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
congrats on the trophies man!
Nice one Colin! What kind of trophies were they?

NWMotiv were a sponsor and helped with the organizing. Their link.
Otherwise, the awards were: Best Sleeper Build and Best Performance Engineering w/Dyno
those 2 trophies really sum up your build imo.
I think no 80's sports car easily had 350hp, so sleeper? Hell yeah (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Kinda strange you guys are under the impression the drift event took place at PGP unless there were two different drift competitions the same day which I kinda doubt. The 350z that rolled was at Pacific Raceways not Pacific Grand Prix. It is really really hard for me to imagine someone rolling a car at PGP though I suppose a freak accident could happen. Roll overs at PR however are fairly common and have happened a lot of times in the past.

Ummm Redneck, I dont know which PGP you are talking about, but the one that is being discuss is of this site: http://www.pacificgp.com/
They are located on Pacific Raceways. Technically, if I remember correctly, PGP has a deal with PR and is technically on PR's land.
So yes, the 350Z did roll at PGP. The track is adjacent to the drag strip on PR and the staging lot where the car show was held.

Yeah your saying the 350z rolled/crashed at Pacfic Grand Prix, the carting track, which is incorrect. Forum Fest was held at Pacific Raceways, the full sized road course.
Here is a quote from Bob at Drift Office taken from the official nwn forum fest 2010 thread which I linked below if you would like to read it:
virtual_bobIt's on the road course guys, not the cart track.
And here is a flyer for Forum Fest listing the venue location as "Pacific Raceways" which I circled in red.
