Welcome!

It seems as though someone painted your car pearl white somewhere along the line lol.

yeah i forgot to mention that the previous owner's father is a body man and painted it pearl white lambo gold ( when the sun reflects off the paint, the paint looks like its gold, pretty sweet IMO ) Smiley

I really dig the paint, though I would have left the grille black. CA18DET + wheels will make one sweet car! Best of luck  cool2

Welcome to the club, loving how clean your car is. How much did you pay for that beast?

+1 and add to that painting the window panes back to OEM black. But the car looks sweet! What engine are you planning for?

Do you need an interior yet? How about a stone chip in the bumper fixed?

Haha, I checked this thing out, pretty decent shape on the outside, but for amount the guy spent on the paint job, he could have hired a better person to mask it.

other than that, nice car and good luck! Don't drive on those tires though!

Oh, and he does have wheels, stock rims painted the same color as the body

yeah the previous owner failed on the window taping and painted it white and i do plan to paint it back to black, and p.s. u quoted the previous guy +1 and he wrote CA18DET Cheesy which is what im gunna do

i stripped the interior bare because this is gunna b my track car,and at the moment im removing the engine/preping the bay.. i got it for 2 reasons, the condition of the under body was intact and better than any previous s13 hatches ive had and 2nd is because i have never seen one driving around here and its something different,i like s12s and in my area and the ppl i know arn't on s12 bandwagon like they are for ae86 lol IMO
and yeah i got those wheels with it, all i practically paid for was the shell and its paint. i dont have to worry about body work, i believe i have the perfect base to build from.
sideways_s12Oct 14, 2010, 2:32 am · #14

well goodluck with the build

ProlowtoneOct 14, 2010, 9:37 am · #15

lmao my friend just took his ae86 off the road. He is throwing in an s2000 motor this winter. i have another friend that super charged his, upgraded all the suspension, installed a locking diff, and turned it into a carbon coupe, and my other friend has an automatic one that he drifts in the rain, and a white one that is badass and sounds great but i have not asked what he did to it as i dont see him often and when i do i forget.

I loved these s12's longer and i wanted to be different now i am getting into stripping out the interior to see what i can salvage. body is mint thought the interior is bad....... i call it an excuse for lvl 2 weight reduction lmao

2toneSilviaOct 14, 2010, 3:38 pm · #16

I suggest putting clean interior back in if you can find some. Just my 2 cents. I knew a guy here that striped a hachi down to bare metal (absolutely everything out) for weight reduction. They don't weigh that much to begin with. Once you're turbo, it won't matter.

ProlowtoneOct 14, 2010, 7:11 pm · #17

I am going to try and clean it while it's out... Like steam clean and scrub the carpets and I bought some mothers to clean the dash and stuff to. If it does not clean up well then I will toss it and slowly get all new stuff or get the seats recovered and order new carpets thinking

2toneSilviaOct 15, 2010, 1:12 pm · #18

I've seen new carpet on Ebay before. Can't find too many restoration parts for the S12. Courtesy Nissan only has S13 and S14. If my old Notch shows up in a junkyard (sold it to a young kid  sick) I will try to strip some items for you. The front and rear seats were mint. Good luck!
