Such advanced technologies allow for high accuracy and fast response times in an efficient integrated design. It is also a Native USB wideband system, offering flexible compatibility with all the newest in netbook technology.

I wish half of this info wasn't greek to me. They don't a Wideband book for idiots, do they?

acadianasportscarsNov 2, 2010, 12:47 am · #3

LOL. Think of a basic wideband controller as a computer for your air fuel mixture. Using the Oxygen sensor, it calculates whether you are running rich or lean at any given RPM/condition/time. The things you want when looking for one are:

- accuracy (you need it to be as accurate as possible, so that as you upgrade your car, tune your fuel maps, etc., you can identify where you need to bump up or bump down fueling to maintain an optimal level if possible.)
- reliability (you dont want the unit failing on you - don't skimp on quality, since seeing this info is a level of protection for your engine)
- feature set (does it allow you to log data? can you run a simulated signal from it to your ECU to replace the signal sent by your stock O2 sensor setup? can you run an external gauge? how are you able to hook up a computer to it? etc.)

This is a bit of an oversimplification, but hopefully it helps out a bit?

Just for info:
The really cool thing on this controller is the ability to remove the build in display and mount it on any place
ive saw mirrors, tachs and so on

I'm not 100% sure what you mean about raising the prices.

I can tell you that as good as the JAW was, the SLC Pure Plus is to the JAW what the modern PC is to the abacus.

mcNov 2, 2010, 9:03 pm · #7

could you post up some videos of it on your car.

acadianasportscarsNov 2, 2010, 9:07 pm · #8

My car is in a constant state of disassembly, but I can contact a few of my customers and see what I can come up with!

acadianasportscarsNov 20, 2010, 4:32 pm · #9

As part of our DEALZ FOR THE HOLIDAZE sale, I've lowered the prices even further on these 14point7 Wideband Controller kits.
I REALLY can't discuss the new prices publicly, but if you're in the market for a complete wideband solution, shoot me a PM!

acadianasportscarsNov 26, 2010, 2:30 pm · #12

MC - I contacted a couple of people at 14point7, and their support forum. The manufacturer is actually offering to give away some free products if someone can get me some video clips of it installed in their vehicle and post them on the support forum. Still working on it for you!

So 218.90 is our price?

acadianasportscarsNov 27, 2010, 2:21 am · #18

No sir, I cannot advertise the price publicly, because I am under a Minimum Advertised Price agreement, but if you shoot me a PM, I can give you more info.

Thanks!
Zack

ArroNov 27, 2010, 2:31 am · #19

He's PM'd us the price in order to maintain alternative compliance with the rules, but he's just not posting it here. You can contact him or us for the price, in that order.

I've been around boosted cars for years, and seen comparable setups. The special C-S12 price is actually a good deal, folks.

acadianasportscarsNov 27, 2010, 10:03 pm · #20

Thank you Arro for working with me on this!
