Hello everyone I'm Tyler, I've been floating around the forums for close to a month now and I can now say I'm an owner of an S12. Bought a buddies old project 1984 1.8L turbo S12. I wanted to get a car for me and my dad to work on together and for the price I really couldn't resist. For a car being as old as it is it's pretty "advanced" in some ways you wouldn't really think.... Anyway I'm rambling

You can link from images in the garage if you right click the pic, open in a new tab, nab the URL and throw the image codes on either end ;)

Looks rough, but you can clean it up! 84 turbo hood scoop FTW  My first car was an 85 turbo, and I've owned an 84 turbo as well.

Thanks, yeah it was sitting for some time at this guys house when it caught on fire, my friend responded to the fire and while the other firefighters were hosing the house down he was spraying the car and the grass around it trying to save the car

I've got an update on the car. After replacing the starter, dist., ignition coils and messing with the timing for about 2-3 days I got the car to crank first try.
Ran a little rough, had to adjust the timing a little bit. After that It was running hot and I checked the radiator. And there was oil in the coolant.
Blow head gasket :( I'm assuming that's why the previous owners previous owner parked it. They didn't want to f*clutch with it, well that's not my style.
Parts order and are in the mail. Now time to wait for them to come in the mail.

got the gasket installed and clutch replaced. car drives fine. It doesn't read boost though. and my manual's front half is missing so I can't figure out where or what I'm supposed to check. I'll upload some pictures and a video soon
