i would never go 153 in a z31.

seishukuAug 30, 2011, 8:43 pm · #3

Why not?

StephenGAug 30, 2011, 8:52 pm · #4

Because it will explode, throwing your body into the nearest tree @ 153mph.

VG33ERGazelle?Aug 30, 2011, 9:03 pm · #5

dude, z31s are solid cars if you can take care of 'em.

SchizophrenicMCAug 30, 2011, 9:35 pm · #6

I read the title as Kiki Rosita from The 08th MS Team.

Anyway, hot sex, that car is sexy.

Nice looking car. As for the 153 mph comment in a z31, I don't think I'd like to go that fast in any 80s vehicle to be honest.

sam31183Aug 31, 2011, 1:03 am · #8

i did a buck 27 in my auto 2+2....it wouldnt go faster...hah. Never topped out the s12...too scurry.

VG30_S12Aug 31, 2011, 2:32 am · #9

I dont even like going 80mph in my 240.
VG33ERGazelle?Aug 31, 2011, 6:17 am · #11

I've probably been that fast in my s12, and I know I've been that fast in my old s13...

I would say 15 was steep if I hadn't seen the car in person. It's ridiculously clean, I mean we're talking...showroom, just left the dealership clean.

seishukuAug 31, 2011, 6:15 pm · #12

I've pulled an honest 125 in my S12, but I don't trust the tires much past that. But the car itself can handle way faster than that, no problem.

sideways_s12Aug 31, 2011, 6:49 pm · #13

looks good but if I was gonna drop 15k on something it wouldn't be a z31. and as for the 153mph comment....I would do it I went 130+ in my s12 with the cadet in it I was racing an a4 on the freeway and the speedo was pegged at 125 was you could feel the s12 was still pulling.....

15k for a VG powered vehicle that will inevitably be owned by a person who will scream "White Power" out of the window?

No thank you.

I am not sure I could bring myself to pay 15k for it yet I would pay a bit for it. The Shiro edition is rare in general and to have one in such mint condition would be quite a catch. That car is much more for a collector or investment. Although, I dont see it appreciating in value much so it would be only for those know and value it for what it is. If I had the cash, I would probably offer just shy of half of what he is asking for only because it is the Shiro edition. The Z31 in general I wouldn't offer more than 3k more and even 3k is pushing it.

no I agree with you on that one, I probably would never offer anything close to 3k for a standard z31...not even an anni edition. the shiro is the only one I might offer some substantial money up for, prolly not 15k but...I have to admit it's an incredible vehicle

Where do these sellers get their prices from? Why would he think a good condition shiro with 85,000 miles is worth anywhere near 16k? He'd be lucky to get 5 or 6 grand for it. Especially in this horrible economy.

The market on Z31s have slowly been increasing...clean 87+ turbo cars are now regularly going for $6-8k...they only made about 8,000 of the restyled turbo cars and 1000 of those were Shiros.

I have also seen super clean heavily modified 400 hp cars (properly built) go for over $12k...it is not at all odd to see these cars once properly modified to appraise for $12k+.  I'm not sure how many people are going to pay that however, the market remains small...it seems most people would rather by a Z32 than a Z31.

All that aside I'd say that this seller would be lucky to see $10k for that car...in factory trim these cars really are not all that special by today's standards...it's the high potential that holds my interest.

I'm one of those people that would purchase a z32 twin turbo over a z31 turbo anyday.

That's a 7K car TOPS. Probably more 5-6.5k

Theres another wackjob trying to sell his Shiro on ZCAR.com for 12K or something. Once again, nuts.

VG33ERGazelle?Sep 3, 2011, 10:11 am · #25

well now that we've all established that none of us would be stupid enough to pay 12 for the car, we can at least agree it would be worth purchasing for the right price. I enjoy it just because it's a special edition, one of those things you don't see every day....like a true black and gold 280 or something.
