I have seen it on a couple other forums and it is a great way to thank someone for a good contribution to the thread with out nearly the clutter of posts like  "+1" or "I agree". Just an idea please feel free to throw out better ideas or modifications to this idea.

Very good idea, I will toss it around with the team more and we will see what we can come up with.

If you would like to see it in use let me know and I can refer you to the site where I first saw it

Nah I know exactly what you mean... and we usually try to put our own spin on things, so give us some time to come up with something... we love new ideas, and are always interested in potential new features to this forum system

There is a karma system built in, but It isnt the best in the world, which is why it is disabled at the moment.  Plus there is a potential for karma drama from one person having all their friends reduce someone's karma for no reason other than they can.

Which is why "Like" or "+1" might be a good idea.

Like I said, Ben and I will discuss it with the team and come up with something.

I've seen it on a few forums.  A "thanks" button, with no way to reduce it on the member side.
