Good choice! the KA24E is a solid motor and will last a long while.
As for the Ford Carb, it sounds like your standard fix in that country haha. That isn't the first time i've heard of really weird things being done to get cars working again.

Real Noobie!
What he said. Good choice, and takes well to boost because it has lower compression than a KA24DE, and the large-style ports in the KA24E head are good for forced induction (turbocharging). There are also manifolds available to bolt-on turbos to a KA24E.

LOL I still get a kick out of that carburetor :P
What's going in the car? You decide yet?
Arro, the S13 suspention is bolt on in the S12??? rear and front??? I can use the S13 Diff???
S13 front is NOT bolt on, because the S13 front springs are too wide and do not clear. S13 front COILOVERS do actually work because the spring is not as wide. Use the S12 control arm with an S13 ball joint ( you will have to press it in). S13 rear DOES NOT WORK, see pinned topics in the suspension section for custom rear height adjust.
S13 diff housing is different than S12, so no. S13 LSD can work but only if you keep the S12 ring gear and pinion gear.

Thanks Arro, I'll post updates later...

You can get the rear-coil overs on, but you'll have to custom mount them in order to make it height adjustable.
Bienvenidos. Su carro es muy limpio.
I'd bet there are many members here with CA20E's who would very much like to buy that Silvia valve cover.
Here some pics of the update to my S12:

Sorry about the mess, but we still working on the S12, the Engine starts, but we have a problem with the MAF, it seems that is a wire or sensor problem, it "cuts" in 3,000rpm...
soon more updates.
Thanks!
Your S12 looks very good! Is it a 1984 model?
I love Mexico, I visit Tecate at least once a month
