I got another SE what is really wild is it's the exact car i just had same color and options except this one has a sunroof. i will most likely will have it removed and infilled it just doesnt fit into my plans. i have ordered wheels and tires for it and have set up to have her painted it does not need painted but i have a theme for this SE. i am doing mods but everything i am doing could have been done in 1988.

HAH!  I didn't even notice the WA plates at first.  Was this the local dealer car?  Much cleaner than I had anticipated!  Nice find!

Yes, it's the same one that was for sale at a different dealer a month or two ago.  The dealer that failed at posting pictures.

your camera is over exposing like crazy! looks like its in good shape thoguh

rednucleusApr 23, 2012, 8:55 pm · #13

Ya Slim, I had it set wrong, figured out after I got home

cutter67May 4, 2012, 4:39 pm · #14

i have the other SE back these cars are sisters same color same everything i was going to put vk56 into it but now i am going to restore both back to their glory days. the work we did to start putting the 56 in can be reversed.  this SE is in to good of shape to mod it like i planned if i decide to go that route i will get a shell. SE's are too rare to do anything like that too
so i am going to combine both cars into one build thread

When you get a chance you should take some new pics. Even with the other pics though it looks pretty clean. So your just planning on keeping it stock? I would have preferred the vk56 but at least your not swapping it out for a 4 cylinder haha.

vg30e_x2_200sxMay 5, 2012, 3:27 am · #20

Having 2 is not a new idea.

Now....GIT'ER DONE!!!!!

after the big discussion about the s12 and really thinking about this car and it being a SE with a nice interior and body why chop it up for the swap. i have a low mileage vg to put in it. the real reason i was doing the swap was with my son and now that we are no longer talking or doing anything together i will put this one back together the way it should of been done in the first place.

members on this forum opened my eyes to look at the s12 in different ways. the s12 is a rare car even if from a monetary point it does not show and the SE being the rarest of these cars.

what made me even change my mind more was all the cars on this forum that are sporting the SE lips and skirts that are not SE's a SE had to die to supply them.

i figure it will take me a long time to put this one back on the road but i want it done right. no rush because i have another one to drive right now

I_heart_VVLMay 5, 2012, 7:47 am · #23

Wow that's a beatiful color.
Good luck to you and I can't wait to see the outcome!

Agreed. Even up here in s12 abundant western washington SE's don't pop up all that often. I was pretty depressed for awhile when that lady pulled out in front of me last December and totaled out my SE. It had 236,000 miles on it when it bit the dust and still ran amazing. I had never even thought about selling it since it was such a great car. My plan was to drive it to 300k to 350k miles and then do a rebuild so it was good for another 20 to 25 years haha. A lady pulling out across heavy traffic when she couldn't see ruined that plan for me.

Yeah that was one of the first things to get raided off my SE after it ended up at the junkyard. As a matter a fact here is the for sale thread the dude that found them put up awhile ago haha: http://club-s12.org/v3/index.php?topic=34735.0.

Red SE's FTW

VG33ERGazelle?May 10, 2012, 9:58 am · #29

If I had the space I would get another SE to restore to stock specs...

but my SE is too far gone to be a factory original anymore lol. At least I'm going to leave it the same color.

BoostedVGMay 10, 2012, 10:19 am · #30

I'm jealous of your new se and glad to see your old one didn't get scrapped.

cutter67May 20, 2012, 6:14 pm · #31

took the new SE from Washington for a 6 hour run today put 200 miles on her and she preformed like a champ. stop at a fast food joint that was have a little car show and got a lot of good feedback on car. i really enjoy driving this car. so i just order a ton of parts for here just maintenance items from new belts and hoses to bushings, brakes, clutch kit. i am replacing all wear items and starting new. here are better pics of car

Horray for WA S12's; btw I got to drive it 1st lol

VG33ERGazelle?May 20, 2012, 11:18 pm · #35

whyyyyy does your s12 have all the shit I want?! first the steering wheel and now the head rests

rednucleusMay 20, 2012, 11:19 pm · #36

I think I saw that steering wheel on OEM surplus today, they have quite a few different models. Lots of head rests too.

VG33ERGazelle?May 21, 2012, 1:17 am · #37

I'm ordering the wheel from them tomorrow, but they didn't have the head rests I wanted. they don't have a matching horn pad, but I spose I can get a grey one dyed to match lol

BabyMay 21, 2012, 4:27 am · #38

That looks to be in superb condition!

cutter67Jun 17, 2012, 8:40 pm · #39

a little update "Joanne" the SE from Washington state is in the body shop getting some scatches and dings removed. i got the bushings, struts and shocks and springs they will be replaced when she comes out of shop. her and "Paul" are going to spend two weeks in July on vacation sitting on the local Nissan showroom floor. i have bought three more SE's all are blue so that brings the total to five.

this is the one from York Pa.

cutter = SE hoarder.....lol

VG33ERGazelle?Jun 18, 2012, 11:50 pm · #42

wait wait, you got one from DC and you didn't:

A. Let a brutha know so he could shake the hand of the savior of SEs
B. Let a brutha know so he could buy the damn thing!

cutter67Jun 19, 2012, 5:15 am · #43

VG i live doing the week right outside the beltway the DC car was 15 minutes from me the one i bought in York is less than a hour from me on off peak traffic hours it is just across the pa border north of Baltimore that car was the find. i even posted the ad for it here. thats the car i feel i stole you could of bought it for $900.00 delivered to you at the beach about the same milage as Pittsburgh. there is a black SE in Baltimore i know of if you are interested

VG33ERGazelle?Jun 19, 2012, 7:02 pm · #44

haha I was mostly just yanking your chain. I don't have the money or space to buy a third vehicle...can't barely get much done on the SE that I've got with my current work/school situation.

I appreciate the thought though, seriously.

StephenGJun 20, 2012, 10:50 am · #45

Here's my question.. How do you keep the keys straight with 5 SEs, most(all?) the same color?

VG33ERGazelle?Jun 20, 2012, 11:01 am · #46

well so far he seems to have named most of them...maybe the keys have little letters on them. haha

cutter67Jun 20, 2012, 12:04 pm · #47

Keys have always been a problem with me. i am just getting organized just bought a key safe and bought holders for owners cards insurance cards. i have 11 cars and a truck to keep paperwork and keys straight on

Think you will need a seperate box just to keep track of the S12s

cutter67Jun 20, 2012, 2:27 pm · #49

i was just looking at the vin numbers from the car i got from York Pa and the first one i got from Pa and the production numbers are two apart. so these cars were seperated by a car on the assembly line. I dont have the titles for the one from fla. or DC they are in Pittsburgh but will check this weekend. it would be unreal if they are close these are all 87's the one from Washington state is a 88

silvertonJun 20, 2012, 2:39 pm · #50

we really do need to get an S12 registry going...  I have the data plate from one, MAYBE two, now crushed, s12's.
