The tread everyone has been waiting for.
Should probably introduce myself. My names Justin, owner and solo fabricator at High Point Garage HPG
Im a one man team and any input and information is going to be heard directly from you guys to me.
Lets get to what you guys really want.
What parts do you fellow s12 owners want fabricated for your cars
-Cat back exhaust systems
-Fender Braces
-Strut tower Bars
-Bolt in cage
Give me some ideas guys, shoot me an email to talk more details [email removed]
heres a header back exhaust I did on my own car using 16g 304SS 2.5in all Tig welded with two v bands. Exhaust is for sale too

HPG Part Ideas?
downpipes for SR guys, maybe a direct fit header for ka guys? I'd rock a downpipe.
Don't need downpipes, the Ebay stainless ones work just fine.
Exhaust. But it's better to make us axle-back systems because depending on which DP we run with, it'll be different. Along with which cat. Or just sell us a complete manifold-back setup.
Fender braces? Huh?
Strut bars... I'm very picky about them. I tend to consider 90% of the ones I see out there utterly useless.
There's just not a whole lot that we need, since most of the S13 stuff can be adapted for use. And an exhaust system will depend on variables. And putting an exhaust system on a CA20 is a waste of $$$.

Fender brace. Not sure how much they'll help for our cars, but I know it's fairly significant on Z32's.
like I said in the other thread a ca20e header I would rock 4-2-1.
That is a very nice exhaust, sir.
thats a beautiful exhaust.
Allrighty, I know someone in Portland with a nearly complete stock s12, he should be coming over later tonight and I will have a axle back or mid back exhaust system fabricated tonight. I will have more details tonight about pricing and will post pics & vids of before and after installation.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments, very much appreciated

how about a set of headers for the vg30 that need no fab and dont cost alot...maybe to bolt right up to the exhaust u already did
Post Merge
strut braces ???.....wat else are u thinking is within your capability?
Maybe tig up some little badges like the Silvia S and shit like that? I think that'd be cool.
Also, regarding the SR downpipes - it's never a bad idea to think out of the box, he's trying to make a living off his product. It'd work for us and others.
Tubular intake manifolds? Intercooler kits? "Cold" air intakes? Some sort of belly pan? Baffled oil pans? Little things like catch cans... I can go on lol. Some universal shit would be cool.
What all do you have for machines? If you have a lathe, you could make shit knobs and that kinda stuff.
So I have a dilemma, the car I planned on making a mid back muffler system on his car doesn't have factory exhaust on it. Is there anyone local that has a all stock exhaust system from a s12 that I could get from you in trade for a kid back exhaust. Let me now know.
Thanks Justin R

all I have is stock headers for the ca20 that go back to about just pas the front tire...
I'm bone ass stock, but waaay out of the country lol.
Useful, I know.
Damned, CA18ET exhaust manifold! It's wrapping by ages or with heat!
Guess I don't have a stock exhaust setup, sorry Justin. But I want my axle back nagger! :cool2:
Ok so why do you need "bone stock"? Is it the axle-back area you're having trouble with? Unless your jig car has its custom exhaust running *under* the axle, you should be able to build it on his car. Like I said previously, you shouldn't be making us FULL exhaust anyways, just axle systems with a two-bolt flange at the cat end. Because our swaps are always done a bit custom for every car, we'd still have to sort out the DP but that's easy enough... you either hammer your floor like I did and run a stock S13 DP, or you cut and lengthen the manifold end of the DP. Either way, that's something we usually do with a prefabbed mandrel-bent EBay SS DP.
A nice axle-back system. I know some of you would like to get something shipped to you from UPS or FedEx that you can just "bolt on"... but the only way that would be a good idea is if the majority of our cars came with the same engine and most of us kept that engine. MOST of the S12's out there are CA20's, around the world. These get swapped for KA's and SR's depending on where you're located. And the SE's are only here in the States and not very numerous.
Making an over-the-axle section lets us pick our DP, muffler, and get things where we need them to be under the car. Sure, a lot of people would still need an exhaust shop to weld on the muffler and cat flanges, but my point is that's not expensive at most shops, but fabricating a perfectly made axle section is.
SO... yeah, while a full exhaust sounds like a cool item, it's just not feasible for our cars IMO.
Make us an axle system, off of whatever car you have access to. Having seen your professional welds, I have no doubt that you can do it without the presence of a bone-stock exhaust. Besides, the stock muffler is weird and both inlet and outlet are pointing INWARD towards the car, so NOT a good frame of reference at all.
I will making a thread the begging of next week for a 2.5in axle back exhaust system. Im in the process of moving and wont be able have it done till next monday.
Look for a group buy next week...

is this another thread filled with hot air...?
Time will tell, but quite frankly the guy has some welding skills at the very least.
It's likely he wants to get more income for himself/his business, which he cannot be faulted for. I say stop cluttering the thread, and fill it with genuine needs or desires to see where it goes. don't flame the guy. Who knows, maybe he possesses the skills, desire, and contacts to get the s12 into the spotlight. You never know.
That being said I have no valid suggestions, so im done.
Maybe make some proper seat rails, low mount ones like bride rails. If you want to get crazy rear camber and toe adjustment
headers for the SEV6!

Well spoken, (typed). Had some living situations change, and am moving once again but for the better. I will be having a build thread here soon as im getting my chassis ready for the 2013 season. No need for negative comments or even comments that waste space. Were here to enjoy cars, and help each other out, not belittle each other.
Many things to come
