i had my 86 s12 and sold it the kid i sold it to just destroyed it rust now eating away at the fenders and underbody but o well i had to repo it about 6 months ago, tried to do a tune up on it, new cap, rotor, plugs and wires, found out i had a mitsu cap and rotor so thats on special order now, but i put everything back and now it wont run worth crap i think maby i got the coils mixed around but i dont know any ideas will help

ya its got the ca20e i switched them and that seemed to fix the problem but the lower end knock is real bad now so i think ill be buying a ka motor before to long

you know iv noticed that, it has had that knock for about tha last 5 years but now it will be bad and then go away on a warm day and just random but i was playing around and i noticed on that dist cap im damn near missing the intake coil spot and if i push it up tight the knocking will quiet (i just got the new cap and rotor in today to bad its -22 and will be colder tomorrow, nothing a heator cant fix...lol.)so i dont know if there is that much slop in the pistons and rings but ill probly drive it till she crokes mostly cuz the wife cant see me spending 5k for a motor when i have one that runs

Well I'm guess by what u said u have the motor already so it actually should be rather cheap to do this.
no motor yet still waiting for the money and time to come around i ither have the money or the time, never do i have them at the same time!!!
