The best from Tokyo

Hi all. Long time no see and it seems most of the oldies are still on here or at least the names are familiar.

I've just returned from a week in Tokyo and as much as I have been on the lookout for our chassis, I haven't been able to find any s12. I guess they are few in numbers there too and mostly found outside the bigger cities. But I have been lucky to snap pictures of a few good looking rhd cars and the Impul store. Here's a little gallery:

The staff was incredibly friendly! Apparently on average once a month a visitor from outside japan will come by the store. I had to leave with something and got ahold of some hand made carbon mirror covers for the juke.

It really was a dream come true. The good news is, the yen has been falling steadily since summer 2012 and the japanese government is helping pushing it down. I paid for flight tickets and hotel at least 6 months prior leaving, so it wasn't all that expensive.

Btw, apparently on hoshino's own command they have recreated the g5 racing wheels. Unfortunately though, they are only made with a weird bolt pattern for use on the nissan mini vans :(

The S12 contingency is there in Tokyo, they're just hard to find. Only like five or six cars and owners. Marvin went there and pre-arranged with them to meet on his trip. There was some video of that (I'll ask my friend) and pictures. I saw the video. He gets to introduce all of the S12 guys there, and the video even has Marvin taking a hellride down a very narrow back alley in none other than an RS-X turbo.

It was a few years ago, when we didn't have long vid size options for Youtube... I'll see if they still have the footage and if we can get it up finally.

That would be pretty neat if you could ask him to do that!
