Looking for an S12 transmission ready to run. Looking for a driveshaft as well. I'm in Buffalo, NY and willing to make a drive.

i know where one is here in MA. 88 5 speed. only thing is it was a xe car so i don't know if that would be a B trans or C?

Sorry I just saw this; I've been out of town, actually I'm up in the Adirondacks - close to MA. But probably nowhere near you.
All '88 5 speeds have the C-Trans. Exactly what I need. Is it at a yard that is local to you? How can I get it?
Because i have had no luck sourcing one so far.

car-part.com had one in Woonsocket RI. that was 3 days ago when I looked, I'm sure its still there.

It's funny because I had a car-part.com tab open on my computer, but hadn't checked for this part in a while.
Looks like there's one here in Buffalo. It's right near a junkyard I frequent, so I'll try to give them a call tomorrow.

theres 1 at j&j for 400 dollars right now. :O too bad someone from the forums cant snag ya one and send it to ya for half the price

J&J has a C-trans? That is pricey but I've been pretty good at talking them down in the past.
Did you just go in and ask them if they had a trans for an '87 XE or something?
They used to have a black Canadian '85 turbo without the electronics package, and a red SE.
Unfortunately they crushed both before I could get the good stuff like the rear diffs, and VG crossmember. They were really rough though. I don't think they had any usable body panels or sideskirt pieces.
