[DFW, TX] 1985 mk1 Hatch - Bumper, Fender, Light, Signal, Hood, and so on...

Never thought I'd have to hit up the lovely "want to buy" section, but here I am after hitting a tree following an accidental total loss of traction. :reallysad: Nevertheless, I live in Texas and am in need of some parts for my 1985 Mk.1 hatch! I'll cover shipping and all that good stuff, just really need these parts before May so I can get her wrapped and drive her away in my Wedding! I'll be going to the wreckers around the DFW looking for these parts as well, so IFF I find what I'm looking for AND a spare, I'll update this thread.

General:
Hood (turbo, non-turbo, aftermarket, doesn't matter)
Front Bumper

Driver's side:
Headlight unit (prefferably with cover)
Signal unit
Daytime light
Front fender (I'm gonna try to straighten it out)

Ouch, that's rough. You haven't even had that car very long but it might be worth asking Schizo if he knows of any S12's in DFW yards. I'm 2 hours away and have never looked down there but you'd think there's got to be something.

Only had her since May...so sad. Schizo and I correspond quite regularly and have been looking into salvage yards. Where are you at?

I'm up in Wichita Falls. I've been to all the yards around here.....bone dry. Not a single S12.

Dang! Then I may have better luck down here...there are like 20 salvage places up and down Business 287 that I'll be hitting this weekend. Luckily, ItchyKnee is gonna let me buy the front headlight I need to replace that one that's a little crushed. That was the only thing that's concerning me at this point aside from running no bumper.

Well if you find something, anything in the yards down there I'd sure like to know.

Truth be told, if I find ANYTHING for the body I'm probably gonna buy it and if I see a complete car, however unlikely that is, I'm going to buy the whole thing. But P.M. me your number with your real name and I'll let you know if I find anything this weekend.

I see that you have taken care of all the stuff pretty fast, sweet!

Yeah, I was super lucky to find a complete car in a yard that was able to pull the parts and ship them to me. lol

But I still need to work the headlight mounting point and adjust the hood mounting points because something is off with it still.

I have a similar problem. The panels in the front don't line up as well as i would like them to

The hood is pivoted a little on mine. Plus the mount for the headlight needs to be hammered forward because the driver's side headlight cover is tucked under the hood when it closes. :/ In due time...

For the record, I have all of the parts I need and have fixed the car!
