CA20ET hits 7psi w00t !
Great job. Glad to hear it is finally on the road. So it was a bad MAF afterall? That must be awesome having that much power now. Now if only my CA18ET could spin 3rd haha. :)
Come on, my ca18et can spin the clutch in any gear ... oh wait, you mean tires.
:p
Way to go Alex, this project has been a long time in the making, but you still got a ton of stuff done in a short period of time, and managed to still do awesome in school.
Way to make me look lazy and dumb ;)
WOOT is all I have to say. Its raining here in Augusta, GA but it wasnt enough to stop me from bringing out the ca20et after HOURS AND DAYS of repairs to finally hit what I have been wanting for a year and a half.
Today I had to do MANY repairs to fix things I F\'d up earlier.
1) Turbo to manifold nuts came loose.....no boost making.
2) Exhause had to be cut and re-cupling\'d to straighten it
3) IC piping had to be epoxied up for leaks
4) vacuum lines had to be replaced
5) MAF had to be replaced
6) downpipe lost a nut so I replaced that
7) exhaust to downpipe got new screws and things
8.) Heatshield had to be modified
9) 1G BOV had to be crushed so I can hit 20psi later :P (j/k) it was leaking a little
10) Dizzy had to be adjusted for timing
11) Oil and coolant lines had to be rerouted to avoid another engine fire....
12) Boost Controller and Cruise Control had to get new vacuum lines
Finished all that and took it for the first REAL spin in a while. With everything in place it fired up right away...suprisingly and idled at 1700RPM cause my Air Regulator SUCKS...(mimms ) then dropped to a nice 800-900rpm. Took it out and just let loose. About 3100RPM, all hell breaks loose. 3rd gear spinning. Mind you I have just shy of 200 miles on the new engine, so going over 4K is a No No for right now. But with 7psi, all I can say is that this year and a half of HELL:kicknuts: was worth every penny and minute spend building it myself (with the help of my friend Tj). I hope to have a short video of the car soon, but as for now, this rain is something that really scares me with the RWD and a turbo.

nice one bro
look forward to seeing pics/details of the install
glad to see the maf found you in good working order.
you cant imagine how happy I am right now. Ive been wanting this to run the way its running now, for a LONG time. 200 miles on a FRESH ( and you know what FRESH means) engine and 125K on the chassis. Next 3 things on the list in order of importance.
1) Skyline front body kit (soon to be complete)
2) Suspension lowering ~2\" all the way around
3) LSD (he he he)
So how about some bigger/better brakes? More go usually needs more stop.
And congrats on the motor comming together.
dyno...drag strip.. thats all i have too say
congrats, but keep in mind, the project is never complete...

Another repair:
#13 - Clutch slave cylinder.
It just crapped out on me while sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on I-20. I suddenly had no clutch pressure and switching gears became a challenge. Luckily my friend had the same thing happen to him and had to drive from Boone, NC to Charlotte without a clutch so he knew exactly what was wrong and what to do. We were able to limp to a Sams Club parking lot where the car finally stopped shifting. $25 bucks at auto-zone + 25 minutes of time to bleed and replace and we\'re back on the road. :lick:
