yep as the topic states we have braces avaiable for the ca18et and ca20e powered s12's

the braces run $70 plus shipping which is about $10-25 within the usa

Now, it lookes like the bar is flat, so under heavy "spirited driving" would the bar bend? And does the brace give you significant hndling increase? Just wanna know for sure.

oh no the bar has a 15degree v shape with a piece of flat bar welded inside the v. i can stand and bounce on the brace and it will barely flex..

Looks pretty nice, i'm not going to buy one, being in oz and all but i can say i want and need one in my car, with the coilovers on the front you can almost see things twist and can certainly hear it when going into driveways etc. It'll probably help a great deal if you drive spiritedly :)

International shipping? :-/

easier for me to just use a S13 one, they are easy to adapt and common

The ones who are adjustable in width fit right? What about intake clearance?

Well i'd have to check specifically but scene as the S12 and S13 engine bays are so similar i don'think it'd be a problem for me, i'm running a SR so it don't stick up like the CA18ET. The adjustment probably doesn't have enough range but redrilling holes etc will work.
Either that or i could just make one from scratch to.

Hey bart, go to this site

www.splparts.com

look under the S13/suspension/chassis bracing. do you think you could do something like the "front fender brace"? It could help out us VG guys since there seems to be no simple strut brace design. the have a link on their site to an article in SCC that helps describe the item. *shrugs* just an idea

bartc_jdate not saved · #16

ya i read that article i jus wish there where some pics i could takre a look at so i could see hoow they did the braces and see if it would make a difference on our cars..
