Sorry to you guys wait SOOO long due to their stupidity. But I'll find out more on this. They didn't think that we had a chance so they scrapped us. Which is ok due to their reputation of being the worst body kit makers in the industry. I only found this out late last week when when I vented my frustrations on some dealers. Guess I wasn't the only one disappointed in them. But no worries, I'll either find or make something that worthy of our cars or wait for this "rumor" that suppose to kick in when they start making the movie on fast and furious 3 in 2 months.
And what rumor would that be?
Thanx for the info. and I guess we are lucky they scrapped that idea, if theu have yhat bad of a rep.
the rumor is that when ff3 starts filiming some of the aftermarket companies will be making body kits for older cars again. The thought is that our S12 will be included.
I think if this rumor is true that they would be using whatever car the kits are released for in the actual movie. So if an S12 kit shows up you know it will be taking on a hachi roku and we all know that to drift properly you need a flashy body kit and a HUGE spoiler :hit:
So the companies would need to make molds and then produce them, they would figure if they have the molds anyway why not put them to market as well. We all know how popular the decal kit from Vins car is on ebay!
lets hope that rumor hold to be the truth.cause you know that the companies that are in on ff3 are all big companies and you know they will bring some flashy shit onto the market lets keep our fingers crossed
I made my own front air dam on my car. I just went down to a plastics shop and got what I needed. Mine is just a molded abs plastic piece however I used fiberglass on my friends Rx-7 and with one good days work I had a nice front made and I saved him $500 now both of us just need to paint are cars.
Materials used
-Fibergalss sheets
-Fiberglass resin
-sand paper
-Hard foam block(cut into shape)
-mesh grill ($20 for the best online)
-Rivits or bolts(Friends bolted on mine I rivited from back side
Overall It was a simple and creative experience. It was also very cheep so if you screw up just start over. for around $50 you can make your own.
pictures?
Pics of your abs air damn would be cool
I was hoping to paint it first. But Ill sent some out in the next couple of days (Car is soooooo full of dirt and bugs) Ill make it part of my profile
It nothing much, not like the fibergalss job I did on the Rx7 but here it is, raw and unpainted
are you able to make more of those? I was looking for something that would square up the front end. I am not a fan of pointy things, so this would be perfect. Either that a DIY of what you did may be nice.
I can make more and some special fiberglass ones too but with it being on my car I can no longer mold it right on mine. There is a parts car thread up right now and Im trying to get it. If I do I can make a few of them for those who want it. Just to let you know the mounting can take some time and I cant make a non fiberglass bolt on it has to be pop rivited from the back. But if I make some fiberglass ones I can make it a direct bolt on.
so everyone is having trouble finding a body kit. well i have a little secret! Andys Auto Sport makes a body kit for the 84 to 87 toyota corolla, hint; which is pretty simular to the s12, so with a little push and shove it will fit. I have the front peice of the kit on my s12. as soon as i get a camera compatable with my computer i will show you. the web site address is andysautosport.com
ye man, get those pictures up if yo ucan. we are ALL interested in getting soething to work.

It does look close though...
What? This again? I already went there and they refused to do it due to J-Blood's request... which I think is just BS! Besides I heard a lot now about their products from car people from the industry like car audio, 240sxforums, and others that it sucks. Be better off than making your owh then getting theirs.
read his post again
he's not saying get them to make a kit for us. he's saying get the ae86 j-blood kit and retro fit it with some "push and shove"
if it fits with minimal adjustment i will get one cause i love that kit and it would look phenominal on a s12
