I was driving home from the airport (I have a permit) with my parents and kid brother in the van, when a Mercury of some type pulled up next too me. When the light went green, I accelerated slowly but the guy in the Mercury pulled ahead. Neither one of us wanted to back down, but when we reached 60 on a 35 road, my dad had me back it off. wait until my car's safe to drive (i.e. rear brakes)

...Rear brakes. That must mean you want to use your hand brake to "help" you turn:) I do that alot. Mine were completely shot when I bought the car. But an afternoon later, I got 2 new rotors and new pads. And the rear brakes work like a charm. I just need wet pavement or dry pavement covered in fine gravel. Then I am a PRO RALLY DRIVER!!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!! Just kidding. But I do like to kick the ass of the car out alot!

Actaully when I bought the car, it aparently didn't have any pads on it, and hadn't for a while 'cause the rotors were so ground down I had to replace them.

Bad rear brakes are common on these cars...
