On the old site there was a thread about rack and pinions for a ca20e auto, and where to get them cheap, can anyone please send me that link so I can purchase one for my car, Ive tried to no avail. Thank You in advance, for any assistance in this matter.
Rack & pinion woes...
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Jul 2004" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
So basically, nobody knows what I'm typing about?
Yah I know what you are talking about...when I find it I will let you know...8)...unless aomebody else has it close by...8)
i think it was international auto or that place mr200 found the engine kits
I got my steering rack from Allied Auto Stores in Fremont, California.

How much did you pay, if you dont mind me asking. Also, I did a Google search for International Auto and didnt come up with anything useful, can someone send me the link. Thanx a bunch :)
I wish I could recall what I paid, but at the time, it didn't matter because I needed it right away. I believe there is a core charge involved though.
Havent found anything yet, wont some kind soul please assist...
I called Napa and they said that they are available. There is a core chage, so I would try there too...8)
for that old link to buying a rack and pinion for a decent price, if anyone can bring it up I would appreciate it...
Let me know if anyone knows or can bring up the old postings, Thank You all much
Two questions, 1: Shouldn't this be in the suspension forum? and 2: Does anybody know if the turbo and the Ca20e cars used the same rack, and was there a performance option (different ratio's). Reason I was asking is that I remember when my mother in law had the rack in her 84 thunderbird replaced, there were 2 or maybe 3 different ratio's, standard and a performance ratio.
