HKS 1990 Catalog......stage 4 CA18ET

Thought everyone might like to see what was ONCE available from HKS for the S12..
 Here is a copy of my 1990 HKS quick reference guide from their 1990 catalog

Here is a list of what makes up each of the stages........
*Stock:  120hp@5psi
*Legal Stage 1: 132 [email removed];  K & N Filtercharger, HKS Hi-flow cat back exhaust
*Legal Stage 2:  [email removed];  HKS intercooler kit, HKS Twin power ignition system, HKS spark plugs, HKS oil cooler kit, Heavy duty clutch
*Off Road Stage 1:  147hp@6psi:  HKS Hi-flow turbo back exhaust system
*Off Road Stage 2:  160hp@7psi:  HKS Electronic or manual boost controller
*Off Road Stage 3:  180hp@10psi:  HKS Intercooler Kit
*Off Road Stage 4:  200hp@12psi:  HKS programmed fuel computer

Below are their suggested items but not required to make the above numbers:
*Turbo timer
*Boost gauge
*peak meters, and specialty meters
*Exhaust gas temp gauge

Apparently the part numbers for the parts above don\'t exist anymore.  I have all the part numbers for everything HKS offered for the CA18ET in 1990, but I\'ve called them and none are in their system anymore.  There probably is a warehouse in Japan full of all these old parts.
Wish I wasn\'t 17 back then and could of afforded all of it, but the only thing I bought was their hi-flow cat back exhaust.....which was sweet, but the muffler can crapped out a few years ago.

OMG. I would DIE for prices and pictures or part numbers for these parts.  If I could pester HKS to search for the parts in Japan.  That would kick ASS.

Geez... those numbers make me LOVE the MK III supra... 230 hp for under 3,000, and potential for 430 hp wow can you say :burnout: ????

This gives a lot of hope...this means all the MKI Turbo cars can be re programmed...I wonder if they still have this in the warehouse...if they did, I bet more could be made...8)

Here\'s some of the prices, and part numbers from the 1990 catalog.  There aren\'t any s12 specific photos......just generic ones of their parts.

*Hi-flow(street legal) cat back exhaust; 2562EC-24477K; $149.95.  This is the one I had....It was 2.5\" with mandral bends, and a straight through can.
*Max-flow(off road) turbo back exhaust; 2063XX-24447J; $199.95.  I tried to get this one, but they said I had to show proof that the car was used for off road racing only.

The only part that we can\'t substitute from HKS is the PFC III.  Everything else can still be purchased form an \"equivalent\" manufacturer or fabricated by one of the highly capable member on club S-12....I guess there is one more item to look for on E-bay!

im waiting on a email from hks jap to see if they have any of the old parts left, i talked to one of the "higher"ups and he told me that he is going to look into the parts him self cuz"i love the s12" so i will let everyone know if they have anything or not

Late, but I've been looking for the hks intercooler kit myself. No luck as of yet.

This community is strangely dense for an underpowered ugly ass car. With the right person talking to the right people, we could get these parts on the market again. Thanks to folks like Draconis putting these cars respectfully on the tuner market. Publicity is really all that is needed, that and a following of 1000 riced out pizza deliver cars trying to emulate the badass ones feautured in the ricer idolitry mags....

I say we petition for this, HKS is good stuff. In fact im sending an email right now....

Not expecting much of an answer though.....

E-mailed one of those big sellers on ebay Jappartsspecialists or something like that and they said no company makes intercooler kits for our cars which is obvious. I was hoping they'd give it a shot to try to look for some used HKS intercooler kits, but I don't think they'd waste their time.

I called HKS directly about 10 years ago with those part numbers......and they said they were non exsistant.  So apparently they got rid of whatever stock they had back in the early 90's, I'm guessing.  You would think there would be some somewhere warehoused or something
