There is a 84 S12 RS-X coupe (notchback) for sale in Christchurch if anyone is interested........

Factory FJ20ET, LSD, etc

It is a Gazelle with the fancy interior options.

Can hook you up with the owner if you wish.

I would just like to say that the members in Canada should be jumping all over this. You can buy the car and then get it shipped to Canada and insure it. It's older than 15 years, which is the requirement. Come on...somebody wants a FJ20ET under the hood. Eh?

Shipping to Canada, hmmm. What do you reckon that would roughly cost in C$.
The purchase price would be a steal with currency conversion.
Are you guys allowed to impost RHD cars???
Regards
Jon

Oh yah RHD is totally legal, it is the shipping that has us by the nuts :|!!! Plus if i had the cash I would jump on it...hell I would even fly to BC, and drive it back, but I don't have the cash to make the purchase...:(

Hi Jon
Always said if I could find another and the price was right???? A notch would be a nice addition :dontknow: can you send me some details???? pics???

It is in pretty good condition, has a really nice interior, factory mags. Goes well with an after market boost controller. Could possibly do with a respray here and there. I took some film shots of it, but haven't finished the roll.

Cheers

Hi Jon, from another christhchurch member!! :)
how much are they asking for the beast? you may have seen me or my girlfirend driving round in a red (slightly beat up) liftback, seen another turbo liftback (unsure if fj or CA, but has bonnet scoop etc) parked up all the time by the racecourse pub, and also seen a silva liftback around, there is still a couple floating around, i picked up our one for 250 bucks...But id like an fj one for myself as the missus gets the red one :)

Do you buy anychance own one of the mentioned cars??

Cheers

Hi Logan

I've had mine for 10 years and in that time in ChCh I have only seen three RS-X S12's. One was a red turbo notchback (at Merivale Rugby Club), a grey/silver hatch that used to park out at the airport (since disappeared) and a 87 white notch which had a factory CA18DET. Funny how I have never seen yours or the white notch that is for sale.......

$250 is the bargain of the decade!!!!!!!! The factory wheels are worth that alone.

Mine is grey/silver hatch and in the last month or so is "sometimes" (on Saturday afternoons) parked near the Racecourse Pub, so yeah that will be mine :)

Cheers (burp)

Hi Jon, Funny that you own that one, I used to live just round the corner, now in ilam, the girlfriend told me about your one at the pub and she really really wants a turbo one and thinks yours is the bees knees.. :)

Anyway how much for this fj20 one??

Cheers

Hi Logan

I still live just around the corner........ Where were you living??

Price for the white RS-X notch is pretty negotiable I think.
The owner (Brett) now has it listed in the "For Sale" section of this board.
You could contact him directly through there if you are interested.

I feel very honoured that your girlfriend feels the same as me about my 21 year old gorgeous lady. You need to keep that girlfriend - she has real class :)

Cheers

250 auzzy dollars?

:yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

Thats freaking cheap....this is one hell of a deal.

SRacindate not saved · #12

Yea it was pretty cheap, its only a c18E, non turbo etc. Needs some serious tune up, but cant complain... Will be all good once i get round it tidying it up :) and sorting out all the squeeks and groans, and the boat like handling...

Jon, Im down hounslow, just off maidstone. you?
Would love to buy bretts RS-X, but just dont have that amount of cash at the mo, I got to much money tied up in my Toyotas (69 Corona 2L DOHC, 71 TA22 Celica GT, 71 KE25 SR coupe w/ DOHC turbo etc etc)....
