BARTCO: fuel rail
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Sep 2004" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
as far as fitment there are 2 modifications that are needed for this rail to work.. both are very minor and can be done by you or me....
1. the rear bracket that connects the back of the head to the intake mani needs a hole cut out of it inorder to prevent fuel line rubbing that could lead to ruptur...you can cut this out yourself or i can do it for you, but only for a core exchange of the bracket so i can continue modifying them
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/bartc_2/fuel%20rail/d157e300.jpg
2. the other modification that is needed is the removal of the water temp sensor plug.. basically you just need to remove the plastic part of the plug anf then plug the wires themselves into the water temp sensor and add some silicone to waterproof is and keep the wires from poping off the terminals...
i tired to avoid doing this but i couldnt cut the rail back any more... and if i did there would be no material for me to thread the -6an fitting into the end of the railm because the first injector is so close to the water temp sensor.
