I have made 3 sets of tension rod bushings. They are made from UHMW plastic, which is similar to Delrin. An identical set of these were on One_Equals_Two's car when we went to the Tail of the Dragon.
They are listed on Ebay here:

If these sell I will make more. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

Aftermarket Tension Rod Bushings
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Sep 2004" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
can you make them any cheaper?
Cheaper than $25 for four?
That's a good price ... how heavy are they?
I'm a long way from TN :(
how thick are the bushings? and what does wieght matter?

Shipping purposes...the heavier the more $$$ 8)
Mr.200 shipping for you should only be about $5. They only weight 2 or 3 oz. apiece. I think $25 a set is fair. These parts aren' cast or molded like Urethane, they have to be machined out of bigger piece.
shipping is listed at $4 on ebay, talking to alex
what is the thickness of bushings though? .75, 1 inch?
The shipping price on ebay is for US buyers. The bushings are a little over .75 and will putt the wheel in the stock postion.
do you mind if I ask what the outer and inner diamter are?
i just started bidding i was about to order a set from nissan thanks man
Awww.... where is the buy now feature when you need it!!
Would these be stiffer than urethane items? Last thing I want now is a stiffer front end.
Gl with the sales neway! :mike:
The ride won't really be affected. I couldn't do a buy it now because I don't have enough feedback. If all 3 sets have bids on them and you want a set, just PM me. They will be $25 plus shipping. I'm hopping to offer someother items soon like turbo upgrade kits, control arms and brake upgrades.
Cool.
I'm not really sure why you made these but good luck anyways :)
Just to let everyone who may be interested know, I put 5 more sets on ebay today.

mine are paid for. can't wait to get them
You should just put a buy it now option. In my opinion. Also I put a bid on them but I just thought, will these work on the VGs? I just noticed the ad only said CA18 and 20.

he cant cause he needs more feedback before he has the option to do so
For sure, these will be tested by me. I have the course in mind already.
I'll be testing at drifting events until I can get A1 to finish work on replacement adjustable TC Rods.
Sideways, yours are on the way.
I'll check some part numbers and see if the SE uses the same tension rod bushings as the CA cars.
I'm going to make some front control arm bushing and possibly start on tubular front control arms this weekend. I may start on rear suspension parts this weekend if I have the time. I have 3 different kinds of car that I have to tear into and start making prototypes for this weekend so we will see how it goes. I'm hoping to bring at least one new product to the market everyweek, but that will depend on time, money and testing.
got my bushings in today.... man theese things look great! i hope you will start making other bushings for the 200 after seeing theese.
I will probably start making replacement bushings for the whole car. The next thing I'm going to work on is front control arm bushings. Control arm bushings and tension rod bushings together should really tighten up the front suspension.
also just curious where did you get the plastic you used? i was needing a custom bushing for a swap i did awhile back and this stuff would have worked wonders
...i Would Be Interested In A Center Differential Bushing.
i want a tranny mount. screw paying nissan $70 for a pos rubber bushing
Yeah, and make some bushings for live axles, pls. ;-)
