87 4cyl low miles in Philly

I have a 87 4cyl hatch (red) in Port Richmond section of Philly. I bought the car for the rims. Its an automatic with under 100k miles (I think about 81k on it, I'll check in a little bit. The car starts and drives well but has no reverse. I check the fluid in the trans and its black. Changing may get reverse back but I don't know.

The ac still works and is cold. All glass is good.
Title is clean from pennsylvania.
