It is upon us yet again. Who is interested in a GTA meet some time during the month of October?? This will probably be the last meet before spring, so lets make it count...8)

not the thanksgiving weekend, but any other weekend should be ok.

unfortunately, i won't be any faster or really have anything new to show. car still doesn't run quite right...

even if it is not any faster, I just think that one last meet, with everybody (or as many as possible) there would be fitting... And if we have as many people attend as I am hoping for then maybe we could even do a bit of a cruise after the meet. Who knows if we have a bunch of cars that we figure are reliable enough then maybe we could even get the video cameras out, and take the cruise up to the Forks of the Credit...really put the cars through the paces...lol

Yeah, TG weekend is no good for me *lol*

Any weekend after that and the car might actually be running ... with it's 60s gasser look and all.

Or it will break again.

The Tadpole works, it just ran a scary scary mountain run last night.

I'm considering taking back all the bad things I said about the ca20e ;)

Solid axle is mucho fantastico for dorifto

Also this is still really up in the air, but how does Saturday October 23 at high noon (since thats whenb everybody ended up showing at the last meet) sound to everybody??

In keeping with the past lets make the meet at least start at the Timmies on Lakeshore, and I believe Lakefront Promenade...I will get post the map that Matt had up last time...

Ok, here's the map

I just heard the unfortunate news that Arif (Hopeful) won't be able to attend, but if that changes I will let everybody know...

did he manage to sell his ae? i wouldn't mind seeing it again with the mods he put in.

23 is ok with me. hopefully the car will be running ok.

No his insurance went up, and he was therefore forced to take it off the road. He has also purchased a AE acid dipped chassis, that he plans to do a full build up on.

Hehehe ... Mississauga road, just south of Highway 9

If you know that stretch ... that digital dash never dropped under 80. Well once, but that was on the sort of reverse radius down the hill 150º ... that was about 74 sideways.

That solid rear is amazing, it's like a go cart ... just point, gas and slide.

We should definitely take a real drive this time (not find Arif a 200sx drive) up into the escarpment.

Dunno ... maybe that Timmies isn't the best location for taking off on a drive from. There's plenty to look at by the lake, but the roads are arrow straight, and traffic-ey.

There will be video this time too.

Heh, if I'm not driving by then (even joking about it hurts) I can at least run the camera.

Ok, then...lets plan to do some Escarpment driving then. Where would you suggest to first meet?? As far as big parking lots go I could suggest somewhere like Bramalea city Centre. It is relatively easy to get to (Justt off the 410 on Queen)( I can give directions if we decide on this local). City centre although I hate the mall it self is only about 15 minutes drive from the escarpment...

i'll need a map and directions for *any* new location =)

Absolutely no problem...Also if any are wondering; there is a Timmies there too (I know this is critical to Mr.200, and most likely other as well) 8)... So then does this mean then City Centre is the place to meet?? Once I make sure I will give directions so that I do not confuse people who are planning to attend (If I give directions to too many places I can see people not know which to go to). If nobody makes any suggestions on a better meeting local tomorrow by afternoon I will post directions to City Centre and we'll make it the place to meet...unless somebody comes up with something better after the fact. Hopefully if we have this organised by early next week (at the latest) it gives plenty of time for as many as possible to keep our schedules clear...8)

Ok directions to Bramalea City Centre. Take the 410 North, when you go north you will see an exit for Steeles Ave. Not not take this exit, just be prepared because you want the exit that is either one or two after it. The exit that you want to get off at is for Queen Street. Take the Queen Street exit, and turn right (East) onto Queen street. The next main set of lights will be Dixie Road. Bramalea City centre is at the south East corner of this intersection. Go through the lights, and there will be a bit of an exit to get into the mall about 100 meters after the intersection on your right side. Take this exit, and this will atke you right into the mall. this takes you to a T intersection in the mall, turn right at this intersection. Now follow this road until you see at least one S12 on your right side...this is where the meeting place is...

Here are two maps that I have made...if there are any questions let me know...8)

So far this looks like it will be the largest Ontario meet yet...

CArs that we are expecting so far:

Mr.200 1987 CA18ET (Toad) assuming we get it running, and it doesn't break
sschung 1987 CA18ET
Euroboy 1987 CA18DET
Alex Frost 1987 CA20E
D 1985 CA20E (Tadpole) (he is not on these forums)
Drifter-> coming with Euroboy, and maybe driving a CA20E if he hasn't sold it
