CA20E to CA18DET
CA20E to SR20DET
CA20E to CA18DE
CA20E to FJ20E
CA20E to KA24DE
CA20E to KA24ETi->-> this spring...
CA20E to VG30DETT
CA18ET to CA18DET
CA18ET to SR20DET
These are the ones that I know of, but there are probably more
JasterM5 is doing a VG30E -> VG30ET swap.

I thought I would forget a couple...I've heard that this swap could be difficult, so I really wish him luck in being able to do it...8)
thinks !! if you have a new swap , don't forget my :D
hey what about sr20de what are they like in terms of an engine and is it posible to fit one of them into a s12
thanks
No more trouble than an SR20DET, unless you're talking about the FWD SR20DE, which in that case, the block castings are different for the different mounts.
Also, I think RPSport-John has/is working on an RB swap in an S12...
I found out about the potential of the S12 through a bloke I used to work with, who'd bought one, stripped it down, and planned on wedging a VH45DE (might have been VH41DE, can't remember) up the business end. He spent months measuring the engine and the engine bay, trying all different possibilities, then eventually sold the S12 to his son and the motor to someone else because he reckoned it couldn't be done.
I know of at least one S13 with a VH41DE in it, because I've been a passenger in it, but has anyone tried to slot a Nissan V8 into a S12? Theoretically it should be possible, since the VH motors don't look that much bigger than the VGs...
Still, you'd need a stronger 'box, much stronger springs up front, and I doubt even the R200 diff could stand up to that sort of abuse for too long. But would it be worth it to have a V8 S12?
Thoughts...
not likely...the VG barely fits in there already.
need a lot of cutting and welding to get a vg30dett in there. so I doubt a V8 would go in.
The R200 especially in 4 pinion form is tough as hell, it's unlikely that a VH41 or VH45 would damage one.
Are you sure that the VG30DETT required any metal cutting? It didn't look like it in that one i've seen in photos.
don't forget 13b into a ca20e
Anything will fit with enough work... :laugh:
I would guess the biggest issue would be hood clearance, as I'm not sure how much taller these motors are than the VG's. They had to make a special intake and a bulged hood to clear the VG's in the S12s. I agree that if a VG30DETT will fit, you can wedge about anything in it.
sr20de been put in by a fella in aus (sorry forgot your name) posted on here about drifting??? and was selling the car a few months back???

if you're talking about the VG30E then i'm sorry, but you are incorrect my friend.. there is plenty of room in the engine bay of my SE.. there is even more now that i took out the fan shroud and clutch fan and put electric fans in its place
here is a pic of the block.. and look at the room on either side:

and here is with the engine back together.. as you can see still plenty of room:

there was no metal cutting required to get vg30dett in, even the brake and clutch cylinders were still in the same place and it didin't look that tighter fit compared to its natural home :)
who's done a CA20E to KA24DE swap? hehe j/k
Dont forget CA18ET to KA24DE swap (x2 now haha)
