I hate it, whenever I try to look for parts for my car on Ebay, I have to sift through tons and tons of FWD, Sentra-based "200SX" bullshiit, and it's fuggen frustrating AAARGHGHH!

Jmac279date not saved · #2

The GA16DE sucks :p

I wouldn't mind an SR20DE powered SE-R, though ...

ahhaha, I think Arro has some issues to work out with a psychiatrist

Yeah! I hate it when somone says "Yeah, I have a 200sx too. Its the newer one." Darn Nissan of North America. Its just a two door 2.0 sentra!! I hate it that some people think its the same car. Now I say its an s12, the 240's older sister.

sidewaysdate not saved · #5

when i do searches i always add a few things to 200sx when i search. it usually ends up looking like this... "200sx -sentra - honda -1995 -1998 -95 -98" all that does is remove results that have those terms

My rant on this topic for those who haven't seen it:

I was at a nissan club bbq during the summer..and some guys walked by my car and one of the guys goes "whoah...is that an S12 200sx?" and the other guy goes "yea, but it's an FF"...

GRRRR FF MY ASS YOU S13 FANBOY!!!

it was my buddy who was sitting in my car who heard this, if it was me, I would've went off on them...

Same here. I can't stand it. I was so dissapointed to see Nissan bring back the 200SX name in the form of a 2 door Sentra. :lame:

YankeeDrifterdate not saved · #9

it all sucks, and i hate most FF's, but do any of the parts interchange with our cars does anyone know?

Indecisivedate not saved · #10

the muffler? lol

Maybe wheel nuts, and studs, oh, and a battery, and light bulbs, and oil, but nuthing mechanical wise...

cls12vg30date not saved · #12

Oh and just so everyone knows, the official Club S12 terminology for a 95-98 B14 200SX is a "200SentraX" :lick:

geoffdonkdate not saved · #13

200sentraX, you came up with that right chris? i've used before.

but yeah i hate how the cars are inter-related in peoples heads.

people thing this:

240sx>200SentraX>200sx, and people thing the 200SentraX and 200SX are more closely related than the 240SX and the 200SX. Do some research before you bash cars idiots is all i have to say to them.

I was wondering... can you install a FWD SR20DE and convert it to a FR with the required driveshaft and what not!? I was just thinking... is it even possible?

Pauldate not saved · #15

yeah i told this girl i had a 200sx and she goes "A 200sx not a 240? ohh that sucks." "I was like why would i want a 240 I have Bigger engine then that car was ever offered with."

And then at a the driftshowoff here in homestead i told someone about my car and they of course said "You gonna swap an SR20 in it" I just say "Why i have a 300ZX VG30E under the hood." and they instantly think the Z32 model and they go "whoa you swap that in yourself....."

With enough time, and money anything is possible, but I don't think this would be too difficult presuming that you use the SR FR bellhousing

myth_S12date not saved · #17

Hmmm... and another question I was thinking... can it be built strong enough N/A motor...

Nemisisdate not saved · #18

Hmmmmm.... On one of the TunerTransformation episodes they did a motor swap on a AE86 hatch. they swapped in a 4AGE-Z (I think). It was the old MkI MR2 Supercharged 1.6L twin cam engine.

As for the 200SX and 2 door Sentra crap... I just say Silvia. then people who know the name start to drool!

You are really close, it is the 4-AGZE

Arrodate not saved · #20

Nobody ever mentions the 4A-GTE. And yet it was the same engine in the tofu delivery runner.

Nemisisdate not saved · #21

4A-GTE... Thats what is in the AE86? And thanks for the correction on the motor... Toyota has a screwed up was of engine codes... Nissan is much easier!!

If you don't want to know about the most recent Tuner Transformation episode; Do not read any further!!!

BTW: I just watched the most recent Episode of Tuner Transformation... Now they got a Toyota Paseo!!!! Rusted out POS with no shocks left, swaybar end links gone, and alot of ricer goodies. Ya know what they did??? The made it RWD!!!!! Put a turck live axle in the back, with a TRD remote locker diff, a 22R-E truck engine with TRD cam and upper end, and about 5 and a half days of non-stop fabrication and work! It looked completely stock other than it was already lowered about 1" and all body defects repaires, painted bright piss yellow and with a TT logo graphics on the side... Thats about it.

Yah that is an hour of my life that I will never get back. Also the motor they should have used is the 22R, or even the 20R, those EFI motors were not very efficient. Plus the cam that they used sucks!! Aside from that there are just some things that you shouldn't do to a FF car, and turning it into a FR is one of them!! Stupid Tuner Transformation

Wasn't the 4A-GTE the turbo version of it??

Nemisisdate not saved · #24

Hmmmm. Although I thought this was a relatively cool idea: I saw in the back of an Autoweek magazine that some guy put a Honda B16 into the BACK of an old MINI COOPER. Thus, a MR platform Cooper! I thought that was cool. That is the only thing the Mini Cooper is missing, RWD. It is basically a streetable go-kart! Like the Miata.

Arrodate not saved · #25

Yep :D

Alex Frostdate not saved · #26

Yep :D
Yes I would like one of those. :):burnout:

Johnnyfivedate not saved · #27

They never made those from the factory :RTFM: At least I don't think so....

When did they say that on Initial D? Every single MR2/86/4age site I ever went to never said anything about it. I know the GZE version only went into the AE92's and the mk1 MR2's

Oh I saw that stupid tuner transformation too!! ARRRG that episode pissedme off. They did something awesome by making the car RWD but then ruined it by putting the biggest piece of of shit they could find in the engine bay. The 22R or 20R are both just as shitty (for performance) in my opinion. At least his it'll last along time.

And what was with those assholes anyways? I didn't see the whole episode what they do go to a junkyard, pick the dirtiest, shitiest they could find and then say "Yea that'll work" then they had to replace injectors too and it serves them right for being scavengers.

That would be like taking my CA18Et out and then putting in an old worn-out greyhound on a treadmill in it's place. GOD WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!

YankeeDrifterdate not saved · #28

I saw that Mini too, only it was in SCC. 200hp in an MR mini... the owner also has a six-wheeler mini! :yikes: !

Jsvob03date not saved · #29

when searching on ebay i usually type in
198* 200sx
Nissan V6
VG30E (or your specific engine)
s12 (rarely works)

just keep sifting, and if you steal my ball joints, ur dead!

Hughdate not saved · #30

o....M.....G...come on people!

In Initial D takumi,s engine was not JUST a normal 4age.....his dad is bunta for crying out loud, a legend in drifting! The 4age blows so the new engine, (which is reminded about by ryosuke in 3rd stage: the movie ) is a D1 competitor 20V......This similar engine was on display at some jap car show and alot of commotion was all over it because, yes it was the same type of engine from tak's car.

However the ironic thing is back in the 1st stage episodes is that takumi keeps going on about how his dad wants a fuel efficient car, and yet the D1 AE101 20V could NOT have been a fuel efficient car LOL.
