I am currently selling my S12 RSX coupe (mmmmmmmFJ20 Turbo)
It is white, with black bonnet. Lowered on king springs and NIZMO adjustable suspension all round. I have just replaced the gearbox, and installed a four puck brass button clutch and H/D pressure plate. It has R200 LSD IRS, silvia alloys, good tyres, Apexi boost gauge, sports wheel, turbo timer, front mount intercooler, air filter. I have recently had the suspension rebuilt also. Running 13psi, I ran a 13.9 at 101mph at 2004 Jamboree. (And the whole thing is pretty much stock - engine wise. Not bad?) Lots of potential. Good looking car(coupe :), not hatch). Great for drift or drag. More photos in the feature car section of www.fj20.com (as Tim's S12 coupe)
$8600 AUD
email [email removed] for more details or any questions. By the way, I am located on the gold coast.

thought only japan got the turbo'd FJs and everybody else got the non-turbos...

wish I could import this sexy beast....bump for you.

Nebuchernezzerdate not saved · #3

Oz has alot of ex japan cars, we love them :)

Alex Frostdate not saved · #4

According to a brochure it looks like Aus possibly got the RS-X...probably in VERY limited quantities though...

myth_S12date not saved · #5

I just wish it was being parted out... :(

Nebuchernezzerdate not saved · #6

Looking at those photos it looks like it's the S12 that importbitz brought in about a year ago, is that the one?

gerrybgdate not saved · #7

Yep your exactly right Neb, it is that car. I asked Tim myself, as soon as Isaw the earlier pics of the car I recognized it. I don't mind the ca18det 180sx wheels on it,(without the centres of course), they look a lot better on an s12 than they do on a 180.

you can indy...you can import it and it would be legal to drive...Cool eh?

If only I was rich...then everyone would own a FJ20ET s12

oldschoolsilviadate not saved · #9

That s12 is awesome , where did he get that spoiler........

shanedate not saved · #10

how many K's?
how easy is it to get engine parts??

timopheliacdate not saved · #11

My car has only very recently gone over the 100,000 k mark. It drives quite well now, thanks to suspension rebuild. For the guy who asked, the rear spoiler is factory RSX, as far as I have been informed. Good for something a littly different though.

Umai Naadate not saved · #12

Nissan Aus only brought in a GL and SGL, both with the CA20E. some were IRS, most were live axle.

anything else, has either been converted or imported.

shanedate not saved · #13

hey mate, my brother may be interested in this car but as where in another state it would have to go over the pits to get re-registered is there anything on it that the department ass's might have a go it for??
and also how easy is it to get parts for the fj?? as this would be his daily driver this is fairly important

timopheliacdate not saved · #14

Shane,

The car was only recently registered in QLD, so I not long ago had to do the same thing. There is nothing that was mentioned by the mechanic that was even a minor problem. All the suspension id like new. The springs are aftermarket, not cut. There are no leaks of any kind that I can see. I know that it is hard to do long distance purchase, so if there is anything you would like to know or specific parts of the car you might tike to see, I will take a photo of it and e-mail to you. If you havent already, check out the feature car section of www.fj20.com for some good photos. The only thing you cant really see on there is that there are no rear seats. Thy had been removed when I purchased the car, and if you have ever tried to sit in the back of one of these cars, you will know why I have not bothered replacing them. Any other questions, feel free to email me at [email removed] and I will give you my number, so we can talk. Thanks for your interest.
Tim

Sorry, I forgot the other half of your question.
As far as parts go, I have had no problems finding them. I have friends that work at Jap wrecker, and a mate that used to work at nissan. As an interesting point, the guy at Nissan told me that Aus got fj S12's in very limited numbers, which meant that I can go to a Nissan dealer and order spare parts!!!!Cool hey. Great for gasket kits and othert assorted goodies. Other than that, I have a friend with a 403RWHP fj 1200 ute and another mate with FJ20 RS DR30 skyline, and no-one has had any issues with parts being unavailable. Hope this answers your question.

car is still for sale. Thought some young nissan fan would have nabbed it by now, but the sale fell through. OH well, my loss will be someone elses gain. All interest can be directed to [email removed]
Cheers

Price of the much loved S12 is now $7900. Need money for business venture. Great car for a great price. No time wasters please. The car has been "sold"twice, and twice the sale fell through because of dreamers. Serious enquiries, please dont hesitate to email.Cheers

Dude if I'd seen your ad BEFORE I'd gone and bought a $450 S12 I could work on, I'd own it right now. So it goes eh?

I've passed on the details to a friend of mine who has seen my S12 and is interested in acquiring one for herself, or so she says. She's a tyrekicker of a whole new order so don't get too optimistic but keep an eye on your email.

Best of luck with selling it, and with the business venture. What are you doing?

timopheliacdate not saved · #20

Thanks for passing on the info. It is really a shame you didnt see the ad in time, as it is a great, fun and quick little car. You should sell your car to your friend and buy mine. You will never look back. Even so, the first to drive will buy.
In reply to your other question, my business is a marketing company I started a little while back, and I need to free up some cash to put on a salesperson and secure some new clients. Hopeuflly then I will make more money and buy another toy. Priorities, right? Anyway, hope to hear from you or your friend again.

Domdanieldate not saved · #21

Yeah it's unfortunate but there you go I guess. I can't really sell mine now - I've got a S14 half-cut coming in from Tokyo for it, hopefully I can get a SR20DET conversion done before Christmas, but knowing how slow to get moving I am - and also how busy I'll be in the lead-up to Christmas, working in retail and all - it'll probably be early, maybe mid-January before it's done.

I've been in a FJ20DET-powered Datto 200B, and a SR20DET-powered S14 200SX/Silvia, and although the FJ has got a lot of balls, the SR wipes the floor with it. As it should - it's got, what, another decade or more worth of R&D backing it up? Anyway, best of luck selling it, it sounds like it'd definitely be worth the investment. Best of luck with the business venture too.

tHAT IS ONE OF THE FUNNIEST(AND PORRLY BACKED UP) COMMENTS I'VE SEEN ON THIS FORUM. iM SORRY TO SAY IT MATE, BUT 'BEING IN' TWO CARS WITH DIFFERENT ENGINES JUST DOSENT CUT IT. i HAVE WORKED IN A PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP, AND WORKED ON BOTH. i KNOW WHAT EACH IS CAPABLE OF AND AS A COMPARISON, TRY THIS ON FOR SIZE.
SR with custom inlet, custom cooler, 60trim garret T04, injectors, rail, fuel pumps, custom exhaust manifold, computer, igniters, filter, etc etc. 17psi
295rwhp
FJ20ET with all same mods but smaller turbo 17psi 350rwhp

Also, last time I checked, the fastest 4cyl drag car and the worlds fastest 4cyl doorslammer were both FJ20 powered. And that is not even using electronic fuel injection.
FYI
Paul Martini, FJ20 Rail 7.64 sec
Mark Ashford FJ20 200sx(wonder why he changet to an FJ????) 8.02
Jeff Watson Austin healy sprite 8.18
Paul Stanek 1200 Coupe 8.52 sec
Michael Sherringham Gemini 8.92

As I am sure you can now see, you're preeching to the wrong person. The only thing that the SR20 is wiping the floor with is a fistfull of magazine articles and timeslips showing how superior the FJ is.
The only thing nissan developed into the SR is flaws, like forked rocker arms etc. The FJ was purpose designed performance engine, the SR is a smoother, quieter, weaker production engine designed to pass tougher emissions laws and please a soft core 'mid life crisis' mature market. Then all the cars with the SR got cheap, young guys thrashed them, and hey presto. DRIFT.
Thanks for your point of view though (:

:burnout:
LOL. Dude Nissan developed the FJ as a purpose built race engine. It started life as A FJ24 in the 240RS. Then when the world rally rules changed in the late 70's early 80's Nissan was forced to stop using the FJ24. So instead of just dropping the FJ they de stroked it, Turned it in to the FJ20, put it in the Skyline and later in the S12.
The only reasons Nissan eventually changed to the CA and then the SR is because the CA was cheaper to manufacture and run smother. Better suited to passenger cars. Then they changed to the SR because It is even cheaper again to manufacture. As far as your mates 200sx being faster is not a good argument. From personal experience with both engines the FJ20 will always make more power than the SR with the same mod's. I own a well known performance business. The SR20DET runs smoother and has nicer power delivery but does not make more power.

You should cheek the FJ history at fj20.com .
http://www.turbocreations.com/fj20/history.html

Maybe you should have a look at some of the feature cars at fj20.com as well and do a comparison to some SR20's you know.

heh from an FJ for sale to an SR vs FJ thread.

Relax guy :hit:

Domdanieldate not saved · #25

Yeah laugh at me you wanker, that will REALLY convince me to tell people you're selling your car.

I don't remember posting any facts or figures, just my opinion. Last I checked, Australia was a free country and I was allowed to not only have an opinion, but also voice it.

They're just cars dude. Don't get so ****ing high and mighty.

timopheliacdate not saved · #26

The RSX is sold now. No problems there.
But it appears Dumdaniel (oops, typo?) has some minor issues.
If, by wanker, you mean person who has an opinion backed up by fact, then you may be right. As for being high and mighty, you were the one who is prancing around (I imagine you probably do prance) claiming the SR wipes the floor with my engine. Your opinion was noted, and I merely posted my opinion of your comment. No name calling or crying. It is a free country, and I am just as free to express my opinion as you. I simply chose to place some actual figures in my post too.
So, Dumdaniel (sorry, my typing is terrible), if you took offence, too bad. Like you said, its a free country. :asshole:

CHECKMATE!!

hey, tim>> :speakeng: :p

Domdanieldate not saved · #28

First of all, congratulations on selling the car.

I think you need to go back and read my post again. I wasn't preaching to anyone. Oh yes, learn how to spell 'preaching' because it's only got the one 'e' - look, here's Dumdaniel teaching you how to use the English language...wow!

No I don't prance. I tend to walk around like everyone else, the old left-foot right-foot combination that has served our species so well for many thousands of years. It's comforting, though, that someone on the other side of the country, who has never met me - and, God willing, never will - knows so much about me, not only how I walk, but also how I should be spelling my chosen nickname.

What I can't work out is what gave you idiots the impression that I was sounding off about the FJ engine? The point I was trying to make, before my fellow forumites turned it into a SR v FJ gang-up-on-the-n00b thread, was that I had experienced both engines insofar as I am able to do so (yes, by being in cars that had them up the business end), and that I had been more impressed by the SR and thus went out and bought one. I didn't say "FJs suck OMG don't buy them" or some other crap like that. I didn't even say FJs suck. I just said I'd been more impressed by the SR, therefore I was buying one. Okay, I shouldn't have made the supposition that an extra decade or whatever of R&D on the SR would result in a better motor than the FJ, because I don't know that, but nonetheless I resent being attacked like this.

Finally, since you three idiots (you know who you are, I'm not in to the pettiness of manipulating people's nicks) seem to be absolutely useless at actually READING people's posts, let me spell something out for you as simplistically as I possibly can:

This is not an apology. This is not me backing down. All I want is for you to leave me alone, and let club-s12.org get back to what it was. Really, is that so much to ask for?

i agree, he's a wanker, his SR would wipe the floor wid it

It's been a while since if cheeked this site so sorry for the late reply.

Listen very carefully this time :slap: .You have already been beaten in this debate. By everyone that posted :lynch: .Your argument has been put 6feet under. Why are you are still kicking and screaming trying to get back.
The only come back you had was calling people names. If you keep going I will post all the offensive personal messages you sent me and my replies. Then everyone will see how bad you actually got beaten and will be laughing at you even more than they are already laughing at you now.

It's time for you to be quite and save what little dignity you have left.:violin:

PS: If you write one more offensive personal message to me I will report you to the site administrator and deal with you in person next time I am in WA.:kicknuts:
