OOOOOOOO MYYYYYY GAAAAWWWWDDDD!!!!! THAT SHIT ROCKS!!!! The pianists hands were just a blur on my screen for the last 5 min! and I thought I was god on the guitar... I'm gonna try to figure that shit out. I kinda have a hunch on how he played the guitar like that.

not that I'm trying to take away from the performance, but
a) he is using effects
b) he's reproducing what *lol* 2-bit sound effects?
A guitar is a very very versatile instrument too, as much as a piano. Would you be as impressed if someone was able to do this on a keyboard?
When I was groing up there used to be a band called "Bertha Does Moosejaw"
and that was part of their shtick. They used to come on stage and play a meddley of every song and effect from Mario 1-3 (save your ageist comments ;) ) while jumping around in costumes.
There's an entire genre of techno music gaining popularity now where the "artists" use only video game sounds.
