Yeah that hatch has been up for a while, don't know if it'd still be available. But that coupe is just down the road from me and I had no idea, I've been checking that site for S12s but I always just search in NSW, assuming I'll find nothing in Canberra. If it was a hatch I'd go and check it out but unfortunately ....it's not. Let me know if you do see a hatch for sale though, I'm looking for one for a project that I'd really like to get started over summer.
God bless

Personally I would go with the notch as the first choice for a couple reasons...it is less overpriced, live axle, already lowered, appears to be in really good shape, and the rear window louvers are kick ass!! However both these cars seem to be quite overpriced, so I would see how flexible they are with their pricing...

They are both more expensive than most but the hatch as you see it there is very very rare in oz, we got nearly none of them that looked like that and it has the little spoiler etc. I dunno if it was factory delivered like that but if you were to get it at least it'd be unique here.
I got my first gazelle for $1120 with 12 months rego, it was however not nearly as nice as those two cars.

Just goes to show how different models are more popular in different areas. I know for sure that hatches are more common in Ontario, and I would have to say that going by the members, the hatch is more common in NA too...

Not so much the hatch but the style of grille, bonnet bumpers etc is very rare in oz. The hatch is more common here to (the coupe was only out for a year but it seems they sold alot that first year) but hatches like the one in the for sale aren't common.

I've always thought the coupes look crap tbh, but that hatch is a beauty. Very pricy for no turbo conversion though; I paid not much more than that for mine and it had already had most of the mods done to it. Mind you, mine isn't as schmick as that one - its not bad, but its not that nice.

I my self would go the notch back but it's $200 more then what I payed for mine.

Neb I have one of these mkII cars, (its a feb 87 build), its 2 tone red over charcoal and had all those options, I got it from a wreckers, cost me $250. When I got it, it was missing the grille and one guard and they had sold the front spoiler, but the plastic rear spoiler was still on it, (which will go onto my hatch). I have since seen another one getting around exactly the same colour and everything, and it also had both spoilers on it, so a lot of these must have been SGL's with all these options, to help sell them. To be honest the Gaz wasn't selling real well by the time they arrived so maybe they felt they had to option them up to make the sales.
They also had shag pile carpet and nicer interior than the mk1 cars, dash etc is all an even colour, (not 2 tone, though I like the 2 tone myself, sort of retro and all)
I sold the bonnet and the tail lights etc. to someone who was making a VG30e replica for rallying , (I had already done my bodywork to bare metal on my other s12, so i wasn't going to start again, and this one had rust around the sunroof). I also cut the Irs out of it for my car. Its still sitting down near my shed on its roof

Has anyone looking for a gazelle looked at that CA18DET one for sale for $4000 or so? I dunno if it's sold yet but it was finished just needed engineers and intercooler.
