New Photo Album

OK, I got the new photo album all set up and ready to go. Take a look:

It's based on Xoops code, which is just a modification of PHP (that the forum is running on). Since it's a different code, it requires a seperate log in unfortunately. It's not that big of a deal though. You can just use the same user name and password as you use on the forum if you like.

This photo album is much superior to the old one, as you can have ratings, write long descriptions of what you did, display a list of "recent photo uploads", etc. One thing I'm looking into is the thumbnails seem to be in 256 colors, but it's a minor detail.

Nope. The pics have to be smaller than 100k though.

Well, they are seperate programs as I understand, so that may or may not be feasible.

Shaun, at what point does it give you trouble? Any error message?

I get this error when trying to upload a picture.

Has to be a .jpg or a .gif image file, it won't take a bitmap (.bmp)

Everybody should be able to edit their profiles. Just search the sidebar for an "edit my account" link.

If you get that mimeException message, it's because the file has to be jpg or gif, and it has to be under 100k in size. BMP files are usually a lot bigger than 100k, and aren't a standard format, so it was kind of a double whammy.

hey dan i tried to edit my account to change my password but i can find any way to do it....i searched for a way but didnt find any ways...is there a way that you could just delete my account so i can redo the whole thing...correctly this time.....

Okay dan, I checked out all those issuse about the captials and all and every thing seems to be alright with the pic and size and lettering. So know how do I update my photo?

When you click on the thumbnail of the picture and it displays the picture for you, you should see a little paper & pen icon beside the name at the bottom. Click on that and it should let you edit the description or delete the file.
